My low ranking is based on the quality of the room. Our first room had an extremely bad smell. It smelled like mildew, as if the carpet was wet or wasn't properly cleaned. Thankfully they switched our room without any problem. The rooms defiantly needs to be updated and throughly cleaned. Something so simple as the stain on the couch makes a difference for me. The hotel bar and restaurant was really nice. The bartender was very knowledgeable.

The Darcy is a nice little boutique-type hotel. Bathrooms are very small with no ventilation in them. Beds are comfortable and clean. Food and drinks are wonderful.

The Darcy was centrally located and we were able to walk a lot of the places we wanted to go. The staff were kind and personable and the rooms were clean and well stocked. The only negative was the bathroom was small

Even through a frustrating air conditioning experience, the entire staff was gracious and accommodating. The engineer that worked on our AC was polite and even though we did end up having to switch rooms, the staff was incredibly helpful with the transition. The rooms are comfortable and well kept. Andrew at the front desk really stood out with his vivacious personality (and incredible sense of style). He was an absolute joy to interact with. We will definitely be returning.

Our stay at The Darcey Hotel was great. The hotel was very clean, my room was comfortable, and the decor throughout was aesthetically pleasing. Each staff member encountered (hotel, restaurant, and bar) exhibited excellent customer service. My friend and I said we would definitely return to this hotel on future trips to D.C.
