Bed needed a new mattress. Coffee maker in room didn’t work. Very small room for the cost. When I went down to breakfast, hostess wanted to make me wait because I didn’t have a reservation. Second hostess intervened and gave me a table. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times in the past and always had a better experience. They need to up their game.

The Hay-Adams is truly exceptional. The location couldn’t be more convenient—right across from the White House, with many key attractions within walking distance. The staff was warm, professional, and consistently accommodating, making our stay feel effortless. This is a beautiful and historic hotel just a stones throw from the White House. We also loved the downstairs bar which is warm and cozy and a great vibe. Staff is lovely and the room was classic beauty from a bygone era in the best possible way.
