I booked Hotel Washington through Expedia and overall the experience did not match the price.
The parking situation was frustrating from the start. The only option presented was $80 valet parking. I called the front desk ahead of time and was not told about any nearby garages or alternatives, just that parking was $80. More transparency would have been appreciated.
When we arrived, our room was not ready and we were told it would be a while. We went to the rooftop restaurant, which has nice views. The manager kindly checked on our room and told us it would be ready shortly, but it still took hours. Communication throughout this process was poor.
The rooftop restaurant and bar are extremely overpriced for the quality. This is expected to an extent, but the food was nothing special. The bar staff was friendly and professional, which was a highlight.
Room 541 had notable issues. The bathroom layout is awkward, with the toilet essentially inside the bathtub area. Worse, the bathroom door does not fully close or lock, offering no privacy. That is unacceptable at this price point.
The lobby ATM did not work, and every time we went to the front desk there was a long line. The valet staff was kind and helpful, but overall the experience felt mid at best.
Great location and rooftop, but between the parking cost, room delays, bathroom issues, and overall value, I would not stay here again.
