First off, this *is* an apartment, and not a hotel. Although the apartment is situated in a nice location (30min walk to the White House, Smithsonians, etc.), it's unbearably noisy since it's on the 2nd floor against a pretty busy street. Even with the windows completely shut, we could hear people talking right outside, sirens blaring, and cars driving late into the night.
The shower was also quite filthy - it kept clogging and didn't drain at all.
We asked for some extra blankets and towels, since we weren't given enough on our first night. The house keeper finally brought it to us on the 2nd day. That's the price you pay for not staying at a hotel (there's always a lag).
Finally, there was a discrepancy between the price that hotels.com initially showed and what we paid (we had to pay more for our stay). Seems a bit fraudulent.
We won't be staying here if we ever visit D.C. again.
