1st time in Cedar Falls and this property. Clean, quiet, easy to find and convenient for downtown shopping. All of the staff were friendly, helpful with suggestions for coffee and food recommendations. The front desk staff took down a couple of items that needed attention. Overall very happy and satisfied. Definitely worth the price. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

There are several places to choose from in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area but this is our favorite. It’s always really clean and the beds are comfy.

Great hotel but SERIOUS security concerns
The hotel property is great. The problem here was the safety and security on the property. We stayed at the property July 19-20 during significant worldwide technology issues. There were NO room keys available and hotel staff had to let people into their rooms every single time that we left the room. This resulted in significant delays as the hotel was near full and there was a great need for assistance in getting into the rooms. There was ONE person on staff for much of our stay--this person was not only responsible for regular front desk duties but also escorting each patron to their rooms/gym/pool/etc. The hotel couldd have had additional staff there to assist and reduce the wait for patrons but did not. The much bigger problem was that there did not appear to be any security protocol. I was asked to provide an ID at check in but was not asked to even provided a name ANY of the times that hotel staff let me into my room. They did not ask for a list of names of peopel who were in my room to know who was authorized in the room. The hotel staff would simply ride the elevator with patrons and ask what room they were staying in. They would then OPEN THE DOOR and let them in. There was NO method for confirming that they were actually being let into THEIR room. This is a SERIOUS risk for both the safety of our property and for the safety of the inviduals staying at the hotel. I was appalled at the lack of security and that fact that no steps to taken to ensure safety.
