Overall we enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly, and very helpful. The room was clean, but there was a musty smell in the room. Not sure if this was do to the room being located above the pool. The breakfast had something for everyone which was very appreciated. I also enjoyed the convenience of the location right off the interstate and the parking lot. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in Cedar Falls.

I waited 10 minutes to check in with a staff person, not seeming to know what to do with the customer in front of me. He didn’t greet me when I came in or say anything while I waited patiently. He needs some customer service skills.

The room smelled of mildew and mold. Strongly smelled of mildew and mold. I kept the window open all night on a first floor unit. The sink and shower drains were clogged. The water was ankle deep in the shower when I finished my shower. The shower had not drained by the time I finished breakfast and even when I checked out. The side outside door by my room would not lock. Between the open door and the open window, I didn’t feel safe. The breakfast food kept running out and it wasn’t that busy; staff was inattentive. I’ve stayed in more than three dozen different motels/hotels this past year. This was, overall, the absolute worst. I could hardly wait to get out. I’ve had weirder, but not as bad.

Room smelled musty and bed sheets were damp from the humidity in the room. I also found a dead bug in one of our bath towels. We also waited quite awhile to get our room keys as no one noticed we were at the front desk and there was no way to alert anyone we were there.

This is a great little hotel. It is not fancy, but is clean, quiet, friendly, and has a very nice breakfast with lots of variety. It even has a pool. I would definitely stay here again!

I was given a room on the first floor that smelled like moldy as if it had been flooded previously. Additionally, I paid in-full via Orbitz but was subsequently billed twice more (so triple billed). The triple billing has not yet been resolved. I would avoid this property.

I am not a picky traveler and have never written a bad review before but I want others to avoid my mistake. I checked into the hotel for a 2 night stay. When I entered the room, the musty odor was overpowering and the carpets, furniture, and bedding were wet with humidity. 3 hours of running the air at full speed had not removed any of the moisture from the room. Even placing a towel on the couch before sitting on it, my clothes were wet when I stood up and smelled musty. The couch, pillows, and bedding smelled moldy/musty. Bathroom smelled strongly of urine. Due to a mold allergy I was coughing and congested within 3 hours, and my eyes started burning when I walked in the room. The hallways were also musty smelling and smelled of cigarette smoke despite the hotel claiming it was 100% smoke-free. I reported my dissatisfaction to the front desk and was told that they could give me a fan. I said I was unable to stay due to a mold allergy. I told them I realized I would not get a refund for the first night, but requested a refund for the second night. They said I had to go through hotels.com to request a refund. I filed a complaint with hotels.com and they requested a refund on my behalf, which was denied by Super 8. I'm not sure how this hotel gets an 8.4 review. I would not recommend staying here.

The bathroom ceiling light was leaking dark red liquid. The bed had stains all over the bed. The chair had the arm cushion completely ripped off. The rooms smelled like there were moldy and the hallways smelled like an ashtray. Worst experience ever and I had my little girls with me.

Wonderful customer service!

We were on a road trip from Minnesota to Texas and back. This was our first night. And I forgot my Mypillow in the room when we checked out! Called and Shannon at the front desk confirmed it was there. Said they could ship it back to our house in Minnesota. Wonderful customer service!
