Second time staying. This room was nicer than the first one we stayed in. Clean, lots of room, the little “fire place” was nice. The only minor details, there’s no hooks for coats (we use the hangers to dry hiking clothes) or for towels in the bathroom, no mat or shoe tray (our boats were filthy from hiking in the rain), the pillows kind of suck.

I found this hotel to be very overpriced, even during the off-season. The room was not properly cleaned — the bedsheets and pillow covers were unwashed and had an unpleasant smell. To make matters worse, there were a lot of mosquitoes inside the room. Overall, it felt more like an average roadside motel than a proper hotel, with nothing unique or noteworthy to justify the high rates.

There are no plug sockets available near the beds or anywhere else. The lamp with a plug-in was on the other side of the wall and far from the beds. I need to plug in a CPAP, laptop, and phone chargers, but there's nowhere to plug them in.

The floor was dirty under desk chairs and corners and there was dust in all the corners, fan, blow dryer, trim. It was clean on the surface only. The shower had a pink ring around it where the walls met the floor.

Loved it! Clean and very comfortable. Easy walking to what there is in town. We kept the bath fan on to drown out the other guest noises. Our only small issue was the back window needs a room darkening shade. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

Like most hotels in Waterton, this one is walkable to the center, but it’s very old and feels run-down. At check-in, front desk Matthew gave us the key and explained the amenities, but nothing beyond the basics. Our first room (Room 11) was unacceptable. The door was wide open when we arrived late at night, which felt unsafe. When we brought this up ASAP, Matthew brushed it off as “normal,” which was frustrating and dismissive. Since we were exhausted, we let it go that night. The room smelled bad, flies were inside (likely from the open door), and the bathroom had a strong odor. The carpeted floor wasn’t shown in the online photos, and few sheets and towels were stained. The next morning, we discovered the door couldn’t even lock properly from the outside we raised the issue again. Even though I explained we were on a tight schedule, Matthew took his time handling the problem and focused on other tasks first, which made me feel disregarded. Eventually, we were moved to Room 12. This room was better and actually matched the online photos, though the bathroom still had a lingering smell. Overall, this hotel did provide us with a place to sleep, but the experience was frustrating and below expectations. Basic cleanliness and security should never have been an issue in the first place.

Very quaint! Clean room. However, there is no AC (they do email you and let you know this before check in). And you can also hear EVERYTHING through the walls. Such a beautiful hotel still, will definitely return!

I was disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The room was not the room pictured at all and I wouldn't say it was even comparable. When we arrived there were crumbs on the floor and the counters in the kitchenette and bathroom didn't look wiped. The bed was very uncomfortable and there were 3 almost invisible pillows. I'm aware that I could have highlighted all of these issues to the front desk staff (who were lovely) but I'd prefer just to warn people off and not stay here again.
