We were allocated a lovely room on the first floor. Good size, very comfortable bed, large powerful shower + toiletries. Great breakfast for only £8 each.

All the staff at the Hind Hotel were super helpful, the room was delightful, breakfast was delicious, and we were taken to see the famous Priest Hole in the Oak room, which dates from 1644. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff were great. The only downside was the feral behaviour of the youths directly outside this iconic local hotel. The staff were careful to look after the front entrance security for guests, and we were very grateful to be able to park our hire car in the secure hotel courtyard. As an overseas visitor, I was alarmed at the state of many town centres during our stay, but the Hind Hotel did everything it could to make our visit to the hotel comfortable

Everything was ok.

This was a last minute business trip booking. The image made it look outstanding but was right on the main road, high street area. Room was small, car park was small. The best thing was a large glass of wine £4.90. Probably the clump of someone’s hair that was on the bed when I went to get it puts me off going again.

Despite the view of others on review, we found the place clean, the beds comfy and, as most said, the breakfast lovely. Appears they are doing a bit of a refurb and the rooms and common areas are benefitting from that. I would stay here again if I was in the area given the choice.

We were so grateful that the Hind had a room available for two nights following a horrible experience with the property we had booked. Staff were friendly and available 24 hours and I was able to borrow an ironing board. It is easy to find parking around the hotel, even though it's right in the centre of the town. The building is a bit dated, but that only adds to its charm as a Tudor hotel. The only real downside was the mattress, which was very hard! But we had a good stay and it made our trip for a wedding memorable.

The property is close to the city centre. The staff were approachable and helpful. The food and service was amazing. The bed was comfortable. The shower room was small and not so clean. But overall I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend it to others.
