Despite the reception being advertised as open until 9:30pm we had to go to another motel down the road to get our key. The mold in the bathroom was not pervasive but enough to trigger my wife's allergy. The wifi is useless. I couldn't connect at all at first as they had emailed me the wrong password. I couldn't connect to youtube so I measured the speed at 4.3Mb/s download and 0.48 upload. Glasses had lip marks. The bed was very uncomfortable. At 11:00pm there were only two other cars in the complex and no lights on so I wonder why we were given the worst room right beside a busy, noisy road.

Bathroom not cleaned, found hair in shower. No wifi password, towels or electric blanket provided as stated on website and guest info book.I was just given the key and told what room to go to.Rang reception to get towels and they didn't arrive. Had to buy our own in the end.

We had to go 300m down the road to check in, when got in there was no facecloth, hand towrl, dish cloth, tea towrl, plug for the sink or a remote for the tv. We got 2 facecloths. There was something in the carpet that pricked my foot. The counters were all dsmaged, the light and the heater didnt go in the bathroom. Advertising 50 sky chsnnels, no sky remote. 19 channels which included the radio anf Plus 1 channels. Very sub standard.

Good location, the unit itself was alright but the furnishings (other than the beds) we so old, dated and mostly badly damaged. There was one 2 seater leather couch for 5 people and the seat of this was literally coming off and exposing the stuffing under it. No plug to wash the dishes nor dishcloth so we could wipe the benches/table and there was a very funky smell the whole time. Also turned up at the lodge and go to reception to find I then had to drive down the road to a different hotel to check in and get my key, would be great if this was advised prior to the check in date. The service from the man at the counter was subpar, the ladies were kind and lovely.

Shower strength great. Cleanliness bad. Not expecting us when we arrived had to route through some receipts to find us. Room for 2 with 1 dining chair at table. Marks on carpet. Rubbish scattered all round property and man hole covers missing, part covered with wood.

Located directly on a bus line, stop just across the street. Makes for a easy day into the city. Plenty of shops in easy driving, grocery, laundry, restaurants, Kmart and more.

I would not stay at this accomodation again. It is very over priced. It took us over an hour to get the tv to work. There was something splashed on the walls upstairs. There were no towels. Curtains were coming off the rails. No staff onsite and you had to go to another accomodation down the road to get the keys.

No Love given here. To property or guests. No apology from manager about poor communication re checkin. Towels missing. No plug in kitchen so couldn’t wash dishes. Even cutlery missing. Absolutely no care being shown to property upkeep. Embarrassing if this is what our overseas tourists experience. Yuk

Had to go to another hotel to check in. Room was very dirty especially in the kitchen on shelves and in cupboards. Toilet was broken, was trying to ring reception but kept getting hung up on. Went to separate hotel to speak to receptionist, they got someone in to fix toilet as there were no other rooms Available for our sized group. There was only one tiny fan heater for the whole 2bedroom place and no extra blankets. No flannels and not enough towels for everyone.

Mattress had collapsed. Sill in the bathroom had some drug marks on it. They moved us to another room where there was mould on the ceiling in the shower. Ive stayed now at Settlers and Midway and the cleanliness is well below standard.

As I was arriving late I called to let them know my expected eta (it took several attempts before they answered - not very confidence inspiring). I was anxious about not having anywhere to sleep for the night. They said they’d sent me late check in details. Nothing arrived. I waited an hour and tried calling again - no answer. Before boarding my ferry I tried calling again but no answer so I sent an email. No response or check in info. When I got off the ferry, I rode to the address. Total darkness and no one around. I called the number which fortunately after some time was answered. I told them where I was & they said they were coming. 5 mins later still waiting in the dark, I called again & was told I had to go to another motel further up the road to get my key. You probably can’t appreciate it but after a long day & anxiety already high about not having a bed, being told (after I’d parked up the bike, waited in the dark) to get the key elsewhere, the experience was off the charts in the negative direction. All this could have been easily avoided by simply sending me the required info when asked. The reality is, the info should have been provided automatically without me needing to call & chase up. The room was ok from a cleanliness point, though carpet was threadbare in places and heavily stained. Damaged worktops & a stack of neglected building materials outside the kitchen window. This experience has affected my view of Wotif & my likelihood to use Wotif again.
