I was very happy to find a room last minute close to town at a reasonable price. Receptionist was lovely and helpful. Bathroom wasn't clean, i wiped a mark off the toilet seat. Rooms are a bit tired but comfortable and quiet. The worst part for us was trying to find it, you need to go through a carpark to get to it. Not ideal for us at 11pm. We also had to direct our lost uber driver who also couldn't find it.

Overbooked

Got to hotel and was told it was overbooked so sent to another hotel. The other hotel was fine but dated and old. Not sure if my original hotel would have been better or worse. Who knows

Needed to bring a small team of people to Wellington for an evening business event. I picked the Travellodge as they offered some useful perks/rewards for Hotels.com to Gold members due to the them being "VIP Access" property. Alas, this is something they advertise, but don't _actually do_. None of the advertised extra benefits were offered or provided - quite the opposite. Location is good. The views from the room were very impressive. The room was very hot overnight, but we did sleep. Then lifts are slow, and painful (only 4-5 people with luggage can be in a lift, or it refuses to move).
