Great family friendly and comfortable hotel. Reasonably priced. The only flaw was that it was quite noisy and we were woken by other children in the night, but nothing that the hotel could do about that.

Ideal hotel stay

Great property in a great location. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We booked a family room, very spacious. Comfortable beds with crisp, clean linen and fresh towels. Bathroom and carpets little dated however for it's value can't complain. Breakfast service was good.

Great stay at the hotel whilst visiting Wookey Hole, all staff very friendly. Ignore some reviews about the restaurant we thought both the breakfast and dinner were great, actually one of the hottest cooked breakfast I have had at a hotel, dinner was also good portions and not … if you have young children if you come out of the hotel and go up the steps to the right where lodges are loads of rabbits running about along the hedge row and field. If you get cheese in nearby cheddar the hotel will also happily store overnight for you in the fridge till you depart

A good hotel

First time staying and was an excellent experience. I was there to visit my wife in Wells cemetery on her on her birthday. She came from Wells. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and made my stay much better.

Exceeded our expectations.

The hotel was lovely and clean. The staff were so helpful and friendly. In an ideal location, with the added benefit of free parking. The breakfast and evening meal were amazing. As our break was so reasonably priced we were a bit concerned about the quality, however all aspects of the hotel exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed in the only balcony room which is a lovely big room . The room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom . Nice powerful shower. We did eat in the restaurant and the meals we had were value for money . The staff were friendly and helpful .
