What are the expectations for a stay at the Cape Sands Inn? While it provides basic necessities like a bed, Wi-Fi, and electricity, our experience fell short in several areas. The lobby was unremarkable, and the extensive list of rules and regulations seemed excessive. Some rules, such as the prohibition on cooking devices in rooms, are understandable, but the restriction on microwaves seems unnecessary. The carpet in our room was filthy, and the shower experience was disappointing, with water accumulating in the tub. Furthermore, we found hair on the linens, which was not from anyone in our party. The noise level was also a concern, as we were placed below a family despite the hotel being largely unoccupied. The property's cleanliness and maintenance were subpar, with evidence of neglect visible in the yard. Overall, our stay was disappointing, and we would recommend exploring alternative accommodations in the area. The Cape Sands Inn requires significant improvements to provide a satisfactory experience for its guests.
