Chloe the barmaid was a great host who kept us entertained when we returned to the hotel in the evening. The dinner was unexpectedly delicious and the breakfast pretty good. We were definitely one of the younger people staying there but the location was amazing.

It's an old property so you must take that into consideration.... Can't expect it to be modern. We had,an updated sea view room which was v nice.

Check in was easy. Staff very helpful. Good bed.nice position, easy parking. Breakfast was good. We were 'upgraded' to a front sea view room. However, the window was draughty, paper pealing in places, bath panel desperately needs replacing. The worst was the floor boards creaked so much every time you walked on them. I felt sorry for anyone in the room below us. Great looking hotel though.

Great location.

Great location and views. Staff all very helpful and friendly but the fabric of the building, decor, beds etc all in serious need of replacements. Could be fabulous but not without some serious investment.

Very sad that such a beautiful building has been allowed to become so run down. You are greeted by beds full of weeds outside the front and a very dated reception area. The wallpaper is peeling off along the corridors, and the paintwork is all chipped. The room was a good size but dirty. Medication from the previous guests was still on the floor. Apart from a tiny shelf, there is nowhere in the bathroom to put anything, so you land up putting your toilet bag on the floor which was certainly not clean. The shower was good but the riser rail soap tray above eye level. Staff were lovely, but for the price we paid it was very disappointing.

The food was excellent.Front of hotel needs attention including gardens.Room was nice.Entertainment good, but only had two nights out of four and thankfully NO bingo. The only problem that we had was with the bar, it closes about eleven pm, that’s ok,but if no one comes in they close it early. We went out for evening meal on our last night( as restaurant was not open due to coach parties had gone home) We got back at nine hoping for a relaxing last night to a notice saying Closing at 10 tonight, so beware no coach parties no beer.
