My wife and I spent 30 days traveling all over Ireland. We stayed in first class hotels all over the country except for in the North because we have our own place. we can not say enough about Ashford Castle and the staff. From the minute you arrive until your parting goodbye, it was first class all the way. We will definitely be back again, please God, to stay for longer than our first trip.

Nice hotel. Great location for where I was working. Two gripes: no WiFi in room 225. Informed reception and got the response ‘There should be’. Took no interest at all and got the impression she thought I was an idiot. Believe me if you want WiFi, don’t stay in 225. Second gripe: service at breakfast. Seated quickly. No order taken. Waited and waited to have order taken. Eventually I had to wave someone down to order. Then waited and waited again. When I got up and found someone to ask where my order was it came a few minutes later. But no earl grey tea that day. As said lovely hotel, staff very pleasant but don’t seem to be managed well
