We needed a last minute place to stay before flying from Munich and this Pension ended up being one of the best accomodations of our whole 7 week trip! Fantastic for our young kids (2y & 4m) with indoor and outdoor play areas, and a very large comfortable family hotel room. Breakfast was truly incredible!!
This hotel is convenient to the A8 motorway in Bavaria and close to a number of charmint towns.
The staff was always friendly and when I had to change my booking they were more than helpful.
I simply cant fault my stay there.
This gasthaus was very nice.....clean, comfortable and quiet. The rooms were all furnished in pine furniture that you could smell the zirbin as soon as you opened the door. The included breakfast was very good and even had an omelette station! There were no restaurants close, we walked about 1/2 mile into Weyarn and found a place open for lunch. Slept thru dinner!
We had an overnight flight from the U.S. and arrived at the hotel willing to hang out in the lobby until check-in, but they had our room ready and let us check in when we arrived which was very much appreciated!!! We will definitely be back next time we land in Munich!!
Staff were friendly but despite booking a late check in and phoning when 30 minutes out as requested we were still locked out until another guest let us in. We had to phone them again whilst waiting in reception and still had to wait. Room was clean with good facilities but bed way too hard for us so not a good nights sleep. Breakfast was excellent though with a huge selection and freshly cooked omelettes which were particularly nice. Probably won't go there again though...
This is an incredibly charming guesthouse. We stayed here as we were coming from Austria and flying out of Munich the next day so this put us about an hour away from the airport. Totally impressed. It's a family-run guesthouse. The room was clean, bright and comfortable. Parking was no problem, and it's a short, pleasant stroll down a bike/walking path into town where you can enjoy a great beer garden (albeit at a different hotel) and some lovely little streets to explore.
Breakfast here was awesome with some impressively tasty selections. When we walked into the dining area both staff and guest alike were quick to welcome us with a smile and "good morning." If you're looking for some quiet, comfortable, and friendly accommodations near Munich this place is tough to beat.
The Hotel is very new and well appointed. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is vunderbar! The location is in beautiful countryside.. We used a Train to go to Munich which was not too much trouble. Were able to go to Octoberfest in Munich and visit the Olympic Vilage also taking a guided tour of the sights in a two day period. The location has very limited eating establishments... is more suitable as a B & B.
This bed and breakfast was incredible and spotless! Plus the breakfast was fantastic. We were traveling with 4 total individuals (2 married couples) and stayed in a 2 bedroom room that was spotless. We only stayed here 1 night but wish it were more. The breakfast was great and the staff treated us very well. They even let us check in at 11 am so we could spend additional time at Oktoberfest. I recommend this to anyone in the area!
The hotel room was clean and neat. But the place is really far away from anything in cow country. It actually stunk really bad of farm animals. Not just a little bit, a lot. Forget about getting dinner anywhere and no good access to train to get to munich.
We stayed here because we couldn't find anything closer to Munich for Oktoberfest. I was trying to save money but somehow didn't take into account that it's another 20 EU to get a taxi to and from the train station and 25 EU train ticket to Munich. Oh well. The hotel was really nice, I heard someone call it the Swiss house, and it really reminded me of the houses we stayed at in Norway. It was very clean, and the best part is we paid for one room, for 4 people, and it actually was a two room suite so we were really happy about that. It was in a very small town so it was very quiet which was a nice change from some of the other hotels we stayed at on our trip. The staff was very helpful, and gave us great directions both to Munich, and to the Eagles Nest which was our destination for the following day.
This was a nice hotel. The beds were a bit firm but the rooms were very clean and the breakfast area was very charming. Frank runs a first class operation and speaks English very well. Very charming hotel. The walls are a little thin but over all I would recommend this especially if you have family visiting and you are trying to hit all locations like Berchasgarten, Garmish, Munich, Dachau etc... Thank you!!
