There was an accident in the kitchen which caused food shortage at 9:00, children went hungry. Didn't even have milk for cereal. Frozen bread was given after seeing no bread, bagels or Danish. No pancake mix. Very disappointed. Many people went without food, no explanation or apology.

The assigned room was not ready upon arrival as it was still being cleaned, which caused an unexpected wait. Additionally, the milk provided for breakfast was stale. The hotel was not worth the $200 price tag.

The staff was very helpful. We had a reservation in Jim Thorpe unexpectedly canceled and were without a room for the night due to an event in the area that added to the visitor population for that weekend. The room was clean and comfortable and we were driven directions to Jim Thorpe that saved us from driving several additional miles. But our room had an extremely inflated price for the one night we were there. Regularly it would be $207 and we were charged $434. More than doubled. I am a Holiday Inn Reward member, but was told that I could not get a discount due to the short notice of checking in. That does not give me a warm fuzzy feeling toward Holiday Inn and using them for my lodging next time I travel.

Our room was on the 1st floor facing the on ramp for the Pennsylvania Turnpike . It was very noisy, all night long. In addition, there were unsupervised teens running in the halls screaming. I called the front desk to no avail. Our door key malfunctioned not 1 but 4 times. We had to go back and have it coded at fro t desk.

Got lost on the way to the hotel. I called the hotel and the staff member was extremely friendly and was able to give me directions. Make sure you use the hotel name or if you copy the address it says State Route in front of the address. No fault to the hotel because they gave me perfect directions and Check in was very quick. Very clean. Breakfast was great with snacks to pick from for a snack later in the day or for the road. Only complaint is that it is by the highway and you can hear the trucks pass by. It's great when leaving because you can hop right on the highway however you can hear trucks pass over the bridge. We just turned up the volume on the TV and that worked. Turn the sleeper mode off too so the TV doesn't turn off in the middle of the night and you don't hear the highway. Didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked very nice. Overall good stay!
