Older but nice and cozy property with a free shuttle to downtown Whitefish. Walking to town (20 minutes) was very pleasant and felt safe even in the dark. Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub and all the fires they have going inside and on the covered porch.

Ok stay in Whitefish
It was ok, a little dated, and a little noisy [they provide earplugs next to the bed when you arrive]. It is convenient and the restaurant staff was excellent. The original construction is questionable [anyone walking down the hall, you can feel the floor shake]. They did a really nice update to the lobby and restaurant, but seemed to have stopped at that. Great location, but as a hotel, dated and average.

We loved our stay at Grouse Mountain Lodge. Clean and quiet even though it was filled with skiers and families. We had some issues that were solved immediately and the staff was great.

Have stayed here several times but this trip was not the best. Two separate restless nights with unsupervised kids slamming doors, running through the hallways, and screaming. Hotel did call the room but did not change the behaviour. Had to call back again before their parents got home. Just would like them to be a bit more strict at that price point. As a parent I would have expected a call to my cell phone. Ironically, they provide earplugs in each room
