We stayed at the RIF for a few days for our anniversary trip. Starting with the good — this hotel is stunning and beautifully maintained. The food was honestly some of the best resort food I’ve had in a long while. It’s also conveniently located within walking distance of the floating market and several local attractions, which was a big plus. Now for the not-so-great parts… this place was so boring. I’ve never been to a resort that lacked energy and vibes like this one. It honestly felt more like a quiet retreat than a fun vacation spot. The crowd skewed older — mostly retirees and families with young kids — so I can see how that atmosphere might appeal to them, but if you’re looking for a lively, social scene, this isn’t it. It was also surprisingly difficult to get restaurant reservations due to their overly strict policies. One night we had to leave the resort entirely just to find dinner, and another night we only lucked out because the BBQ restaurant had a last-minute cancellation. Service could definitely improve — I requested a minibar restock for two days before it finally happened on the third, and calling the front desk was almost impossible (we got a busy signal most times). Also, a $15 room service fee felt excessive. Overall, it’s a beautiful property with great food if you can get in to eat, but beyond that, it lacks the fun, energy, and service level I’d expect from a resort at this price point.

The hotel was clean and the room also. The food was great at the buffet. You also have 4 other choice of restaurant (reservation needed) The Hotel location is close to downtown 10min walk. You need to rent a a car for beach hopping .. safe and easy to navigate on the island.

We generally enjoyed this resort. Room was nice if a bit basic. Bed was quite comfortable. Nice shower. Food at the restaurants and buffet was good and occasionally great. Drinks at the bar always hit the spot. We got a couples massage on the shore and felt that was a great value. The downside for us was this - we booked The Rif as opposed to Coredon (which is the same property) because its supposed to be the adults only side - and its just not. We had kids screaming outside oir room at night and during the day at the pool below our balcony. Theres really no attempt at separation between the properties.

This hotel was horrible when it came to service. Even when we would complain, nothing was done. Our room never got fully cleaned, they didn’t replace towels even when we left them on the floor for collection, our mini bar never got restocked even asking 10 times, coffee was never replaced in the room, breakfast room service was never delivered when ordered, the themed restaurants had very limited seating so reservations filled up within minutes of opening each day, the food was terrible and the service in the al a carte restaurants was horrible- waited each day for servers to bring drinks and they wouldn’t serve cocktails with dinner, you would have to go get them yourselves. I would NOT recommend this resort. Any time the staff was asked for anything, it seemed like they didn’t want to work and that the customers were a bother. The biggest disappointment was when our flight was delayed a day, the hotel wouldn’t refund us for that one day even though it wasn’t our fault. I have been to several all inclusive resorts and this was horrible. I had to clean my room myself, get my own food and drinks and the pool was dirty for the entire time I was there. The water was murky and lots of sand at the bottom. I was so looking forward to our vacation but instead we left Curaçao disappointed.

Stood in line to check in. 1 person helping guests, 4 talking amongst themselves. Waited 20 mins just for the 1 person helping guests to tell me I was in the wrong line. Went to correct line, waited 15 mins while the 2 people working were talking to each other instead of helping me. Ordered room service one day and never received it. Called front desk and no one answered. Went down to front desk and the one person that talked to me said they don’t do anything regarding room service. No service at the pools. You had to go to the bartender for everything and they were slow. Took over 15 min each time. Limited restaurants and terrible service at all of them. No one was helpful with anything. Very disappointed. Will not be going back.

Our stay at the RIF was enjoyable. Our room and the rest of property was clean and ascetic pleasing. The entire staff was polite and made us feel welcoming during our entire stay. Restaurants and access to food and drinks were immense. Although the private beach was small we were able to enjoy the other beach from their sister hotel next door (literally a 2 minute walk). The vibe was great for October, relaxing and not too crowded. Exactly what my husband and I wanted. We will definitely come back for another visit!

The reviews left are justified. Some staff are not welcoming or helpful. The property is quite noticeably understaffed. The food choices are ok but food is over cooked most times and the placement of the food in the buffet area is not located in a safe directional path.
