Cons: -They were doing construction above our rooms during our entire stay so we were awakened every morning with the loudest drilling noises as early as 730am that lasted for hours. -The drinks were heavily watered down. No top shelf choices at all -The front desk ladies seemed like they did not want to be bothered. They would keep their heads down most of the time even when people would walk up to the desk for help. -The partial ocean view was pretty much non existent. The ocean was so far away, I wouldn't recommend getting that room at all because all we really saw was a parking lot and construction machinery. -The main pool was too deep to just chill in. You had to be almost 6 feet tall to stand in it. -The waitstaff in the buffet area barely wanted to get you drinks and barely took the old plates from your table and would let them just pile up. We travel the Carribean alot and this resort was very low when it comes to excellent customer service. I would like to give a shout out to Timo who works at the front desk. He was amazing along with the guy that brought us the welcome drink and keeps up with the luggage (I forgot his name. The pros: Beautiful resort and pretty good food. The room was also nice and spacious. Just make sure you don't get a room where they are still doing construction at. It was daily torture. You would think they are about to fall through the ceiling.

The property is so nice that this place can be 5 star This was hour honeymoon and being around a lot places the property is so nice food is good drinks is good nice area but we had a bad experience since day one with service for check in front desk is not we train bad attitude did not provide information about the property one of the bell boy was drinking and the ladies at the front giving bad looks as other people told us got the same experience this is your face as a hotel so if this is like that what can you expect later . In the restaurants they all rude no respect bars the same all of them and plus the phone is a big issue i complain and asked for the manager and it seems that there was no one in-charge of the property because everyone was all over while one day I need it help the person was on the phone . We had a-lot issues in the room we complained and nothing was fixed there was no AC , bathroom had a smell really bad , friend he was not working plus one morning the housekeeper didnā€™t even knock the door and came in while we were sleeping. Other issue is Rats we saw a lot of them all over. Over all I love to tip because is my vacation I want people to take care of us and I tip only 3 of all of them that they were nice the property I have not complain about the property is so nice the view the food service is really bad and phone it might be the culture but the point is I am paying a little effort from the management to make them understand would change alot

This property is under construction. There are 2 sides: The Rif and The Mangrove. The construction didnt bother me @ all. I was under the impression kids weren't allowed on the The Rif side but i guess i was wrong. It was hot as crapp but doable from the shady spots, the pool and the beach. The all-inclusive deal is nice. There's a buffett and 10 restaurants on the resort. Thankfully, i didnt cross paths w/ any drunk people. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Punda(downtown, bridge, shopping) and it was a safe walk. I did see a few stray dogs. It was very nice to visist the Rio Canario Church of Christ. Lord willing, i will revisit the church and the resort. Oh yeah, there was no shower door in bathroom and had a powerful toilet but i still clogged it, LOL.

I had multiple issues with this property. I didnā€™t not receive the room I paid for. I had to view 3 different rooms before I settled for a room which still was not an ocean view. First room had a view or trees the other two rooms were pool view. My fridge was empty. Tv , remote, and phone didnā€™t work. Phone was never fixed. Had to go to the front desk for urgent matters. Construction was on going loud banging, drilling, hammering, and dropping of metal pipes began at 7:30am every day and lasted all day. Not peaceful at all. Rest was interrupted daily. Very disappointed because the resort has such potential.

The rooms were great. The semi private pool was perfect. Facilities and the food was great. We will definitely return. Remi and Teddy are hilaroius and proved great vibes (and drinks). Young waitress gave great customer service for our anniversary dinner on the beach and has beautiful spirit. Wishing get well with her new child.

The property was clean. The food was pretty good. No activities were going on. All the drinks seemed to be watered down.The staff was very lazy compared to other resorts I have stayed in. They were not helpful at all. We had to almost beg for someone to check us in. Three employees at the counter...two of them were talking and only one working. We approached one of the employees and asked if she could check us in. She said "no" but didnā€™t appear to be busy. We went to the other one and she said ok. Prior to approaching them we had been standing there for a least 10 - 15 minutes. No wait staff by the pool to bring you drinks. Employees working in the restaurant barely came to the table to see if we wanted dtinks. When they did come to the table, the looks on their faces made you not want to ask for anything. I guess we were bothering them. Could not get face towels the whole time we were there. The pool closed at 7pm. No jacuzzi. I would not rate this resort as a 4 star...maybe 3.5. Not sure if they were short staffed or not. But when you are paying decent money for a vacation you would like to have a nice time. If I visited curacao again I would not stay at The Rif.

I did a lot of research on where to stay in CuraƧao. I came across this resort and after reading the reviews I went ahead and booked it. I am so happy I did! The selling point for me was the fact that we had access to both hotels. If that wasnā€™t an option I may not have liked it as much. The resort is truly beautiful, filled with so many places to sit and relax. I liked staying at the Rif because it is fairly quiet. The main hotel is a little more lively, so I loved that I had the option to experience both. There are several bars, and one of them is open 24/7 which I loved. When you walk into the room you are greeted with some lovely snacks and a bottle of wine. The hotel had the air conditioning on blast the entire time which is amazing because it was so hot outside. The employees were all very kind and helpful. If someone didnā€™t know the answer to a question they wouldnā€™t stop until we got one, which I truly appreciated. The pools were amazing, and there is a private beach which was another selling point. There were several food options. There is a buffet that is open during breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours. To be completely honest, the buffet was very standard. Iā€™ve been to a hundred of buffets just like this one so I was hoping for more unique options. They do have several restaurants to eat at, you just need to make a reservation the day before. That is the only reason I couldnā€™t give it 5 stars. All that being said, I still would highly recommend. Just book it!

Nice hotel, but still under construction. The construction noise was disturbing, loud drilling noise every weekday. Housekeeping services were disturbing too - trying to get into the room no matter what, even when do not disturb sign was out or in late afternoons when we wanted to have a nap they would wake us up by keeping to knock on the door until we opened. Great selection of food.
