Where to begin? The property was very nice, however the service was pretty poor. We had a group of 45 and the overall consensus was the same, it's like they just don't care. Not sure if it's because most don't tip? I always take 100 singles and 20 $5's with me to tip...you might think they would remember who's tipping and who's not!? There were a handful of outstanding workers at the resort, however that was eroded by almost everyone else. Examples would be: not making eye contact or responding to a hello or good morning as you pass. Bar staff not making eye contact and waiting 20+ minutes for a drink at the pool. Countless examples of workers chatting it up with each other, on a phone etc while you just wait. Even by 'island standards', this was really bad. Wait staff in town were slow, but aware. The food: buffet was pretty decent, BUT 1 morning they were breaking down at 10:40am when it closed at 11. The BBQ was FANTASTIC!!!!! Service was great and the food, ahhhh. Mexican restaurant, not good. Sushi, laughable! The rolls were on par with your local US grocery store, but the sashimi, inedible...water logged and somewhat unidentifiable. The room was pretty good and comfy, they have 2 different teams with stocking the bar and cleaning. We went 2 days w/out water in the room and it took asking 4 different people to finally get someone to have it addressed.

I had to wait till 4:50 to get into my room bcz they had to check if it was spotless. There was a styrofoam bowl with a spoon in it behind the garbage pail and the bathroom had hair in the floor. Shenan was lovely and helpful; I didn’t know you needed to bring an adapter for the plugs in the room, which was a surprise. Had to rent one, lucky they had one left. Romy was also nice and Adqil. Not really any amenities, easy walk to Willemstad. Food was okay, Mexican restaurant was passable; I asked for a Margarita and she told me they didn’t have them - seriously. Almost forgot my television didn’t work and they said the main showed up and he hadn’t so that was back and forth, three days later finally fixed but couldn’t get all channels as the satellite wasn’t connecting.

The hotel benefits from an excellent location, clean rooms, and strong overall infrastructure, with clear potential to deliver a high-quality guest experience. However, several service and operational inconsistencies were observed during the stay. Restaurant service was often reactive rather than proactive. Tables were frequently not fully set with silverware before food was delivered, requiring guests to request basic items. Staff did not consistently follow up to ensure tables were properly prepared. Beverage service, including coffee, was frequently delayed or not delivered unless guests followed up or retrieved items themselves. Although the selection of beer, champagne, and rosé is good, beverages were consistently served at improper temperatures throughout the resort, making them unenjoyable. This was a recurring concern among guests. In addition, some drinks were not prepared or presented to expected standards, indicating a need for clearer service protocols and additional training. An operational issue observed was champagne bottles being stored without proper sealing, which can compromise product quality. Overall, the property is strong, but improved service consistency, staff training, beverage handling, and supervisory oversight would significantly enhance the guest experience.

Great hotel with lots of potential and room for improvement. Food was great together with top shelf alcohol. One thing this hotel was lacking is staff members. Each bar had one bartender randomly two which extended wait times for drinks. Same thing was with restaurants. Long wait times. We spoke to couple from Canada that were at the same resort 3 years ago and service was much better. Another service that this hotel lacked was no service at the beach.

Overall, they weren't as friendly as at other resorts; please do not read as rude or not nice, just not as attentive. Front desk was nice, other staff were not very friendly. 6 out of 8 restaurants you have to make a reservation ahead of time ( they were all booked ). Most of the outside seating by the buffet had MOLD all over it. Only ones that didn’t have much mold was the one that sun hits. Other people staying in the hotel were rude and acted like starving crack heads. With no manners or common sense. Buffet was the only option so we went, but I wouldn’t trust it being sanitary. Between how other Customers were handling it and I saw one of the worker just put things back when it fell off the plate. Food was not good at all. Would never stay there again. I’ve done volunteer work for homeless people and they don’t even act like the people who were staying there.
