Severely outdated and run down

Booked for a military softball tournament, while it suited the purpose to lay our heads, overall was very very outdated, holes in the walls, walls had significant damage and marks all over, mold and mildew all in the bathroom ceiling, bathtub was dirty and grungy and didn’t drain properly (had to hold the broken latch to drain). No microwave or refrigerator, breakfast options were bare. Hotel hallways were extremely hot and the ac unit within the room ran constantly with a struggle to keep the room cool.

The room smelled unpleasant upon arrival. There wasn't hot water the first night. The bathroom ceiling was very poorly finished with a hole in the ceiling surrounding the light and plaster everywhere. The mini fridge kept freezing our water bottles. Outlets were very hard to find. Several light switches that didn't seem to turn anything on. The bed was nice... but that was about it

There was only one ice machine in the entire building that worked, all the others were out of service. The room we were in had very dirty floors and there were cracks in the sink/walls. There were also issues with reception, sometimes the TV could not connect to any channels and the wifi was very slow.

Facility served its purpose as a place to sleep and relax between visits to Busch Gardens and other attractions. Not having a refrigerator or microwave in the room was a little different. Storing food and or drinks the day before a trip was limited.

Not horrible, but not the best

This place has the potential to be lovely. However, it’s obvious the upkeep is low priority. It definitely could use some renovations and TLC. We had to switch rooms twice, because the water in the shower would not get warm. They were understanding, and I had no issues at all with getting the rooms switched. The pools and hot tub need some TLC also, but my kiddo enjoyed them. It was fairly clean, but reeked of marijuana, as most places do these days. Our fridge in our first room didn’t work. The breakfast was disappointing. There were 3 cereal options, some bread to make toast, bagels, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal from a box that you have to make yourself, and some small muffins. There was nothing hot and no protein. Overall it was decent for the time we spend there, and I’d probably stay again. Like I said, it has the potential to be a really nice place if they’d take the time and money to do so

Gross Creepy Old Unclean Motel

I was very excited to stay here for the price to extend our weekend get -away. The low price made me skeptical though so I actually visited the lobby and pool area before booking. Those general areas are clean and great values, my kids LOVED the 9 ft deep-end pool! The rooms though were what I would expect an hourly motel to be; so grosss!!!! Blood on the mattress, our first room had toe nails in the bed from a previous customer so we moved rooms. We stayed anyways because it was late and everything decently priced was booked in the area but only slept on the blood free bed and I required my kids to wear their shoes in the room. I also went down to the Lion Mart and purchased Lysol wipes to sanitize the room for our family. The A/C unit blew out cold area but it smelt like a musty old dorm room of some pot heads. Overall, gross!! However, my kids will remember getting their Jr Ranger Badges at Yorktown from our extended stay and swimming in the 9’ pool. We travel a lot and I’ve noticed we “Win some, lose some” on the hotels.com flash sales. This was definitely a memory we will joke about in the future.

Shockingly Bad

The associate at check in acted like she hated her job, was more interested in flirting with the guy hanging out there . The room was dirty , there was hair on the walls in the bathroom, the lid did not fit the toilet, there was a huge build up of dust in the corners and along the walls of the room . We stayed 3 nights and was only given 2 towels.I ask for a couple more towels but was not given them. The refrigerator door was actually rusted out at the bottom . Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Tub was kind of gross and the room was kind of groaty (exposed wires behind headboard, bad paint job on the wall, toilet that needs repair, etc). WiFi was difficult to connect to and internet speed was much slower than just using cell phone service. Room smelled fine but the floor smelled like old dank weed every time I came in or out of the room. I didn’t get in the pool because the water looked super green and the pool itself needs a good pressure wash. I’m not a big breakfast eater but the continental breakfast was nice enough - good drink and food options for adults, but I get the sense maybe some families might like more (cereal, pancakes, etc.) There’s a nice, clean, comfortable hotel in here somewhere but someone needs to put in some work to get to it.

The hallway had a constant unpleasant odor and was dark and uninviting. The staff was uninviting. The TV remote only worked if I stood behind the TV and pointed. The dining area was dark, and the food options were very limited.
