Hotel as an over all was nice. Was a bit confused though. As a fault of my own i booked a saturday and didnt realize i didnt choose friday as well. First night had just a kind room. Which was on first floor and did lead to the out side with sliding door. Second night i had paid more which was the first i booked and had a balcony. That room was in worse condition with the bathroom and the balcony was a view of an over run basket ball court with weeds. Just a few flooors up from my room the first night. 135 was room first night 335 the second night. With 23 dollars more for a room in worse condition wasnt worth it for a balcony with a crap view. Take that into consideration when booking the classic king or delux king.

Appreciated how close this hotel is to Busch Gardens and Historic Williamsburg. Had challenges getting appropriate housekeeping services. Coffee supplies were not refreshed, and we found out during checkout that we should have received a cookie as well. Nobody ever picked up for Room Service, and there was a sulfur or sewage smell near the bar. Bartenders seemed amateur. Overall felt as though the place was understaffed so they may want to offer higher pay for proper incentives to attract talent.

I recently stayed at Doubletree by Hilton and while my overall experience was okay, there were several issues that detracted from my stay. Firstly, the noise from the air conditioner was quite disruptive, making it difficult to relax and get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that my room wasn’t cleaned during my stay. I expected regular housekeeping service, especially considering the hotel’s reputation. Another aspect that frustrated me was the parking fee. It felt excessive to pay such a high charge for parking on top of the hotel rate. This added to my overall dissatisfaction with the value of my stay. While the hotel had its positives, these issues made it less enjoyable than I had hoped. I would recommend considering these factors if you decide to book here.

So so so visit

My hubby, kids and I visited this location during memorial weekend, while going to Busch gardens. Overall the hotel was ok, the pool my kids enjoyed, and of course the added touch of our chocolate chip cookies was amazing! But there were a few disappointing factors, the carpet smelled like mildew and the smell hit you as soon as you walked through the door. And we stayed for 3 days, I informed the staff of upon arrival and throughout our stay. Housekeeping did their best to fix the problem, but you could tell it was probably from people coming into the room after going to the pool and having their wet clothes laying around. I finally just decided to try and live with it and we stayed out of the room as much as possible, by going to the pool, arcade and sitting in the lobby playing games. There were stains on the carpet, and the radiator cover startled us when it randomly fell off at 2am while my kids were sleeping. My only other concern was that I was charged daily small random charges and when I questioned the staff no one could directly answer. I informed them that I would prefer to charged just one fee, versus a daily room charge, they said it should drop off and then there should be one final charge. The staff was friendly and eager to help. The air conditioning unit went out, but when we reported it maintenance came immediately. Our overall stay was not bad, but I will not revisit this property, especially with the mildew smell in the carpet.

The staff is really nice, kind, respectful, but the room, I think the bathroom at least mine looks like 1 star hotel, I should take pics, the towel hanger, the wood of the vanity, but overall it’s nice, the cleaning, towels really soft and clean, it’s just an aesthetic thing, but I would like to come back!

Staff was wonderful but the property maintenance was not kept up. The pool had bugs and mold. The building needs updating. The room was clean but the floor was not even. We were staying on the third floor. Balcony door locking mechanism was rusted and hard to operate.

Upon arriving I was told that the room I picked from the map was under maintenance.. No big deal, I was given a room on the fifth floor. The room was dusty, the curtains had stains and the there was a long crack in the ceiling as if any minute the ceiling would fall

This property is a bit dated, with our room looking nothing like the renovated room photo on the website. Parking charge is $12/night despite the property having a very large self-parking lot, clearly a money grab.
