Gio checked us in and we were treated so perfectly. I work with customers as well and i forgot I wasn’t working because Gio made us feel so comfortable. I don’t vacation much so my mindset is always hustle and he just plain ole calmed my nerves. Thank you

Likes: really enjoyed the proximity of this location to restaurants, attractions, etc. Easy walking distance to food, groceries, coffee. The price was very nice, including the pools. I finally was happy with the comfort of a hotel bed and the pillows! Having a remote for the A/C was also clutch. Loved the size of the mini fridge and the Monday historical reenactment in the Grand Room. Dislikes: bathroom was outdated, with some lose shower knobs. The sink could have been deeper to allow the filling of reusable water bottles. Lastly, found a dying cockroach in my room the last morning there. Which isn’t surprising given some of the properties have doors that go directly to the outdoors. Would I stay again? Probably…

We really loved the pool! It was open until 11pm, and was still warm enough. We did some different activities in the activity room with Jennifer and she made it a lot of fun! We stuffed some animals, did string art, dyed shirts, and colored mandalas. They also have a small fire pit area with mini golf and sand volleyball court and a small aracde that we won multiple prices at. They also have other fun events going on that we'll check out next time, including a cook out and reenactments. Our room was comfortable and cozy. The hotel is also very close to a lot of resturants and shops, including Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Highly recommend! Definitely coming back.

Beautiful and well maintained resort. Plenty of activities for all ages at the resort. There's a mini golf course and two beautiful swimming pools. Service was excellent. Will definitely stay again. Thanks for being awesome West Gate!

Room was tiny and not easy to find in a different (older) section of the motel large property. Some maintenance issues like the shower door would not close properly. Bathroom sink very, very small. An uncomfortable room without adequate electrical connections. The a/c worked but because room was so small it hits us directly from above. The guy at the office where we checked in talked very fast handed us a few papers and pointed us where to drive to find the room. It was like he was in a hurry although no one else there. He was trying to be efficient! I would not stay there again. It was very clean. They don’t provide any housekeeping services.

The total cost was $416, of which I had already prepaid $68.53. The remaining balance should have been $348.07, but I was charged $393.37 instead. We stayed in the colonial area which was great because you can park right outside of your room. The room was very big and the tv was huge. Front desk staff were all very nice.
