The front desk staff were terrific — very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the room was disappointing. It had a strong odor and wasn’t cleaned to standard. The wallpaper was peeling, and a used shower cap from the previous guest was left behind. The rooms definitely need more attention to cleaning and upkeep. Also, charging $7 per day for parking feels a bit excessive for hotel guests.

Was treated like a second class citizen for booking through Expedia, showed to have an EV charger on site, they did not have one. Also charged for parking that was not on the original reservation. I made they started charging this September 1 and I had no previous knowledge of this.

The staff was amazing but breakfast was nit good for the price you pay per night and they charge to park in their lot even though you are a guest of the hotel. I have never heard of a hotel charging to park.

The hotel and sfaff at hotel was great. The breakfast was so delicious! The only complaint at all is I think there ought to be some type of shuttle to take you over to the Ark Encounter ticketing. I generally don’t mind walking but we had to walk across the Ark Encounter parking lot which I thought could be a safety issue. And one of our party was handicapped on crutches.

WONDERFUL STAFF and LOCATION

We went there to go to the Ark Encounter. It is right across the parking lot, which was great! The staff at this Hampton Inn and Suites was WONDERFUL and very knowledgeable about the Ark Encounter. We would love to stay here again!

The hotel was nice and the staff was freindly and it is within walking distance to the entrance to the Ark. In my opinion, it was very much overpriced. We were unaware that there was a charge for parking and there was a $75 incidental charge as well...so the cost was much more than anticipated. The volume on our tv quit working the first morning (Sunday) and there was no maintenace available until the next day. Told 3 different staff throughout the day and the last person actually brought up a master remote and was able to turn up our tv. Every time we needed it turned up or down we had to get someone to come up and make the necessary adjustment. She was very nice about doing it for us, but it was very inconvenient for everyone. I guess it could have been poor planning on my end, I dont know, but I personally would not stay there again. Dry Ridge is very close to the Ark and has a lot of hotels to choose from and places to offer for food. Note to self for next time. 🙂

What I liked: The hotel fitness room gym was one of the best I've experienced; Extremely convenient to Ark Encounter; Free coffee and tea; Was clean and service was friendly. What I didn't like: The sink and shower drains were slow and filled up; the shower leaked alot, out onto the bathroom floor; we had to pay $7.50 per day just to park at the hotel; the patio fire pit was broken; meager selection for breakfast.
