Disappointed; not worth the price

Sadly, we were disappointed with this hotel. It is pricey. The location is great and the view of the river is nice. But our room was very dirty. The hotel and room looked a bit shabby. Not worth the price.

Definitely wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. The floor we stayed on smelled of mildew and the bathroom was dirty. The ladies checking us in were very nice and accommodating throughout our stay. It was a great area to stay, close to everything I was there for.

We are remodeling our home. While my husband stay at home and supervise. I decided that I want to stay in a fresh clean environment staying at a place were excellent is achievable. Everyone was very helpful. Everyone were professionals . It was refreshing. It was like walking in and all my problems and concerns was left at the door. The hotel left lasting impression. My husband was also impressed with the hotel when he stopped by for a late drink.

We requested a river view and they put us in a view of the city instead. The initial room was not clean and we asked to be moved to a river view which they accommodated and offered us vouchers for the inconvenience. Twice the air conditioning broke and we called and they quickly took care of it, but it was inconvenient to have it break down in the first place. The king room we stayed in was fairly small and there was not much space around the sink for two people. My wife has stayed there a few times and she says that this room was much different than the other rooms on the other side of the building, which are apparently nicer. The staff did go out of their way to help make amends. They also had a wedding two of the nights were there and you could hear the music easily in our room, but it did stop before it got late. Not sure if that is common or not. If we stay again, we would want to stay on the nicer side. I did love the river view. It was beautiful in the afternoons with the sunset. The hotel is very convenient to the downtown area and there are many places to walk for coffee in the morning and for drinks and dinner at night.

Window was extremely dirty..called front desk and they took care of it right away. I recommend valet as well as a room with a Riverview. The pool deck and pool could use a good cleaning. Perfect located to enjoy all Wilmington has to offer
