Nice hotel a few miles off Rte 81
Been staying in Winchester for years to break up trip to VT. Usually stay directly off of highway but was looking for something different. This hotel was quite nice, as it had a restaurant and bar. It was about five minutes off 81 but if you don’t mind the extra drive I’d recommend staying the night.

This is a fantastic hotel. We had a superior room that was very spacious and included a jacuzzi tub and even a working gas fireplace. The room was equivalent to any of the best hotels in Asia, where we frequently travel. The only fault is they should have cleaned our room. However, they took $100 off the stay to compensate and gave us a complimentary breakfast. We definitely would stay there again.

This property was conveniently located to many shopping and dining options. The parking was easy, and the hotel had a great bar and restaurant! The room was very clean. The pool area was very nice, as well.

Wonderful Stay
We had a wonderful time in Winchester, the George Washington was a great choice. It has a beautiful interior...classy but not over the top. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is located right downtown so we could walk to many of the sights we wished to see. We are planning to come back in the spring to Winchester and we will be staying again at The George Washington.
