Excellent service from all the staff. Breakfast was really tasty, the continental selection was vast. The primary disappointment was the fire escape type access to the room.

Promised a walk in shower, (text received to confirm) ended up with shower over bath. Not easy with knee replacements. Needs some tlc urgently. A bit expensive for what we received. Not a place to 2nd visit. Nice breakfast however, good selection and tasty hash browns

Beautiful gardens.
Situated on the edge of Bowness, very conveniently placed for a stroll into any of the many restaurants. Breakfast was incredible and excellent value. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night!

Hotel is set in really nice grounds and has really great potential. Our room was very dated which wasnt too bad. However there were patches of mold throughout the room and the ironing board cover had mold on it. The room must have been very damp as the bedside lamps were rusty as were the radiators. Dead flies on the window in the bathroom- think this was missed on previous clean. Lipstick on the bathmat. Parking was great and its a short walk into Bowness.

A gem
We stayed in the tree house - room 6 and it was great. Spacious and clean. Lovely balcony to sit on. Breakfast is great ..continental and then your choice of hot breakfast so something for everyone. With only a 7 minute walk to the lake is perfect location. We will definitely stay here again when we visit next year
