Good room, great shower although extra or fans not working in shower room or toilet room. We told reception about this on departure so hopefully they will sort this out. Got back to the hotel at 10.15 and wanted a night cap. No bar attendant, told the duty manager who fetched the bar attendant from Back of House. Sat down with our drinks next to a nice fire. No one came to clear the old drinks. Asked the duty manager if the drinks could be cleared. Instead of doing it himself, he walked over to the bar and instructed the bar attendant to come over to clear the table. Why couldn’t he have cleared the old drinks himself? Has impacted on our views of the hotel.

Paid extra for an upgraded room but got a smaller bed and bathroom than my last stay. I could just about see the castle if I craned my neck to look outside of the window. I could see the train station Room was a bit musty smelling and no conditioner or body lotion which was disappointing Breakfast was good Not worth extra to upgrade

We stayed one night and we requested a room with a bath tub in it and we got that room which was very spacious and clean the hotel is well situated right next to the castle and all amenities.

I originally booked this hotel for its proximity to the castle. We have had an amazing stay. The breakfast was awesome and the staff went above and beyond. Next we are down this way we will try and stay here again.
