Overall, the hotel was nice and the staff was super friendly! I didn’t notice a note that it was under renovations when I booked it. My family was happy it had a Fitness Room, but, it was closed and being renovated so we packed workout clothes for nothing. The water to our room was shut off 1 morning while my son was in the shower because of the renovations on another floor. He had to wait 30 minutes for the water to come back on - which was super inconvenient and affected our schedule for the day. You could also hear the renovation work from the other floors during the day so that was a bit noisy. I also didn’t know that rooms were only cleaned every other day at this property so I spent a lot of time getting fresh towels, tissue boxes and toilet paper from the front desk:(. Would I stay there again? Only once the renovations are done.
Three of the five floors are being renovated. No big deal. They put us on a the 5th floor and the constant noise was awful. There was a knocking noise the entire time we were there. The hotel was practically empty. Why were we put on the 5th floor with the room next to us having the bathroom demoed? Oh and the two rooms across from us too. When checking in, she explained there were renovations and named the floors. Then put us on one of the floors she named. I asked to be moved before we were done checking in and she said no just let her know if it’s too noisy and they could look into it! Ridiculous. We were there for two nights. We left at 2:00 am on night two and drove home for seven hours through the mountains, back to Cincy, rather than stay another night here tossing and turning. I didn’t bother telling the front counter when we checked out this morning. And they didn’t even ask how our stay was. They probably guessed since we were leaving at 2am. I also didn’t plan on leaving a review but they sent a request email so there’s that.
We arranged to have our room cleaned on a particular day and when we returned the room had not been touched. Also, the noise from the traffic at night made sleep impossible. The breakfast was adequate.
I liked the comfortable bed
I didn’t like that my room was only cleaned twice for the four days and three nights that I was there. My tv didn’t work the entire time that I was there. I couldn’t use the phone to call the receptionist, it’s like they blocked my line. They couldn’t give me a fair accommodation.
