Warm welcome from the staff, large comfortable room, very clean with a large ensuite.
Good location close to A40 is a bar / restaurant BUT last orders is 10 o’clock and so not noisy at all after then.
The restaurant is BBQ based and I really enjoyed it but might not be everyone’s cup of tea - my meal was excellent and would recommend it.
Staff were friendly and attentive (but not too much!) excellent service.
One thing to note is that breakfast is not available - although there are several places on the A40 which do a good breakfast.
Overall a warm comfortable and friendly place with good food and drink - will use again when I need too.
Room was very nice staff at the hotel very good also have booked another stay provisionally food and beers and wine 🍷 all good overall very comfortable and hospitable

Lovely room. Convenient location. My daughter was staying here by herself and the staff really looked after her.

Staff were very friendly, room was a bit noisy towards the end of the night when all the restaurant staff were leaving.
Our room was small but spotlessly clean. Whole place feels like it's been fairly recently refurbed and it's "trendy" and attractive. Staff in the pub/restaurant downstairs are lovely and - although we only had some chicken wings as we were heading out for the evening - they were delicious. We weren't aware (possibly our own fault!) that the premises are not staffed overnight and consequently there are no food or drink facilities at breakfast time, aside from the tea/coffee in the room.
Badic accommodation. Poor value for money. A pub with rooms. You could smell the fried chips when you opened the door in the car park. The staff were jobs worth and not welcoming.
Poorly maintained property which felt grubby. My room had a sash window broken so couldn't open it. Only good thing were the bath towels and good mattress. Pillows awful. Make sure you don't have a room on the front of the hotel as the noise from the road is continous through the night. I would not stay there again. I wouldn't recommend.
We had a wonderful one night stay. The pub serves a huge variety of drinks. We didn’t eat here but the food looked good.
I couldn’t fault the staff who were friendly and attentive at all times. Our room was large and very bright and welcoming. The bed was super comfy and everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained.
There is no breakfast served but they have very thoughtfully put out a good tea and coffee selection and breakfast bars to tide you over until you can get some breakfast. There is a cafe very nearby that was recommended to us.
The only niggle (and I’ve had to really think hard to find fault here) It would be great to know which coffee pod is regular and which one is decaf. They were not labelled and Google didn’t help much either. Literally only negative I could find it didn’t impact our trip at all.
I would absolutely stay again and have already recommended it to my friend for when she visits the area.
Everything was great from arrival to departure
Theresa the housekeeper went the extra mile to get me a couple more f extra Nespresso pods which was greatly appreciated
Dinner was great
All staff were very helpful and pleasant
Highly recommended
Comfy beds. Great bathroom and friendly staff.
The kitchen was already closed when we arrived. They helped us order pizza and gave us plates and stuff to eat in the bar.
Super friendly. Would recommend
Had a nice stay at The Evenlode. Enjoyed the food. The room had everything we needed. Power sockets in good places, always important. Check in was easy, as was check out. Staff were friendly. A little concerned that the shower seemed to have two bottle of hand wash rather than shampoo and body wash. Overall a good stay.
We had a mid week stay, so the venue was quiet, does host weddings, and could be noisier at the weekends, Note - Does not currently do breakfast at all. I wasnt sure either way when booking, but there is an awesome venue 300 yards away which was handy
