Very happy with our choice

We were very surprised with the size of the accommodation, it was much bigger than expected. Everything was very clean. Check in staff friendly. Pool and game room a bonus for the kids. Important to note is that the restaurant is not open in the winter. Would love to come back again in the summer.

I enjoyed the location, was very close to restaurants, ice castle. But was unhappy that we had adjoining rooms and could hear the people next door very clear and they had kids that were up very early. Also heard a dog barking

I have to be honest ... although it’s clean and not a bad place to stay.. our neighbors kept us up all night.. so loud! We ended up leaving at 4:30 a.m. to get home two and half hours away to sleep.

Jack o lantern is an amazing property. Spacious 2 floor lodge, great time. We had an accident on the way up, and the staff at Jack o lantern were extremely accommodating and understanding. So thankful for the hospitality.

Good overall. But the AC was not working in our unit. It was a muggy rainy night. Both my boyfriend and I ended up having a sleepless night, before going up the mountains the next morning! There was no one at reception at this hour (we got stuck in traffic, of course, and arrived after 8 pm when the reception closes).

Perfect getaway especially in the winter

This was a wonderful winter weekend getaway. We were pleasantly surprised to have a large cottage/condo unit for ourselves. 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with a full kitchen, dining/sitting area and a fireplace was absolutely perfect. The beds weren't the most comfortable but they were clean. One of the bathroom shower heads didn't work and the water had to be on full blast to be hot but this was minor. A kitchen with all the amenities and a clean spacious affordable unit made this a near perfect weekend. It was lovely having access to the indoor pool that was extremely clean and a game room. My kids loved it and are already planning that our annual trip needs to be at this place.

Nice place to stay

This is a 'resort ' not hotel therefore not the amenities But excellent value. Great buffet breakfast on Saturday with excellent hosts. Disappointed the golf course was closed. Definitely would go back.

everything was great, rooms are spacious and clean, quiet and peaceful. only issues were with onsite dinning, food was so so and service was very slow, even though they weren't busy.

Was a little disappointed in this place. We found out that every unit is different. We ended up in a duplex type unit. We are not golfers. The beds were very bouncy, but comfortable. Was expecting a king size bed, per my preferences on hotels.com. Got two double beds that were a little short for us. Bathroom was very good, just not for handicapped people. Short staffed in dining room, but the cook and hostess did their best to make everyone happy. Breakfast was great, but would go elsewhere for dinner.

An overnight to take the dinner train and golf

Great staff at the resort and at the pub (we had a drink and snack while room was prepared). Convenient to area attractions, condo was very comfortable and breakfast and golf on Friday were also terrific. We'll be back and I have already recommended to others!

Not ready for prime time

Not very clean. There may be a reason why. Only 3 of the 5 bulbs in the bathroom worked. As it was painted a dark color, it was hard to see. Same in the rest of the room. Must have had 40 watt bulbs. Beds were broken down, and the bedspread was dirty. Did get a decent nights rest as it is very quiet. Also the woman at the office got us in and situated in a good manner. There were no bugs, fridge worked, as did the tube TV. There is WiFi in the clubhouse, just not in the room we stayed in. We got a piece of paper that said the password would be on something within the room. If it is in there, either it was too dark for us to see it or it's not in there. It is close to a lot of things to see and do in the area. Most everything around it is either closed or out of business.

This is not a hotel, but condo units rented out. Depending on the owner, you can get less that what you expected.
