Very Good

Spotlessly clean. Heating not working so very cold - 3 heaters not enough. We generally felt the hotel was overpriced.

Communication not great Friendly welcome at reception but when problems arose communications broke down. Breakfast was average. Extra charges for anything other than full English
Thank you for a lovely couple of days. I came for a work meeting a couple of years ago, liked the place and planned on returning for a stay, took a bit longer than anticipated. Really comfortable bed, out the back so no road noise, good shower and bath, with elemis toiletaries which adds a touch of luxury, partner loved the comfy flip flops. Breakfast was first class, fine quality ingredients best sausage and black pudding I've had for a while, partner enjoyed the vegetarian option and the yoghurt and fruit. You can walk to Blenheim Palace in 10 minutes via the Woodstock gate
Nice old coaching inn style hotel, ideal location for bletchley, only criticism is cost of Breakfast at £18 and if you wanted a eggs benidict extra £6 chargeso would not book Breakfast as two lovely coffee shops in town. Hotel also has 11kw EV chargers and easy parking.
Lovely hotel
helpful and nice staff
bedroom had everything we needed (including shampoo and conditioner-but no shower gel?) but not a problem
Hairdryer /iron /coffee maker/water/slippers/fluffy towels/full length mirror all supplied
Restaurant a little disappointing although nice -lots of things not available on menu or what appeared to be left items from Christmas on offer and most annoyingly lots of supplements
Breakfast good hot and tasty and plenty of choice but again supplements everywhere!even For avocado on toast -for goodness sake!
Would definitely recommend as clean comforting and welcoming-lovely for a relaxing weekend away

OK but not great.
We stayed here before and had a great time when visiting Blenheim before Christmas. Just post Christmas it was a bit flat. Initial receptionist was distinctly unwelcoming. The others we dealt with were fine. One of our party had to change room because of a fly infestation (this was dealt with very well). Restaurant food was average. Attention to food intolerances was excellent.
The staff are very good in the restaurant.. The food is passable but not memorable. Breakfast buffet at £18 per person is less apetising than the free one we get at a Holiday Inn express. The room was small and very dated. Yes it is an old hotel but the room we stayed in had little money spent on it over the previous 10 years. The tele was old remote didn't work we didn't have any bottled water in the room and were left with an emptynox of tissues. Tried to arrange for more of all to no avail neither room service or reception would answer the phone. The walls of the room were paper thin and we could clearly hear out neighbors conversations. All this for £174 for the room. Won't be back

Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Overall the room was great.
Atmosphere in the bar / restaurant was limited.Whilst we paid for breakfast, was disappointed to have to pay a £4 supplement for a very poor cappuccino.
Room experience really good - out of room experience not so good.
The stay was expensive for the level of service we got - which varied between one staff member and the next. For example, the first receptionist who greeted us was quite rude and abrupt, and others were friendly and accommodating. In the restaurant, only one staff member seemed to be on top of everything, whilst seemed like they did the role infrequently and didn’t know what was going on!

Disliked: Staff & service
Sadly we were not given the deluxe family room we booked which was in the old part with abundance of old character features and a four poster bed. We had to pay before we were even able to get in the room. When we showed the receptionist the room image we had booked through Expedia, she said that it was not a room from their hotel. The manager then said it was but we had been upgraded to a family suite. In fact, we were given a room in the modern part with zero character that could have been in a Premier Inn. The boys bed was a cheap, small and uncomfortable sofa bed. For £425 we were shocked. No bottled water even and just mainstream tv. Nothing to like about it. The manager put the boys in another room across the other side of the hotel after we complained. Expedia denied misrepresentation and the hotel refused any money back except a discount on dinner but we were already eating out.
