The property was in the middle of renovations. That was not the main problem. The property felt as though it was in a cagey area. Even with a known restaurant within the same parking lot. Outside of the room, carpet was dirty. The room smelled bad. Although, the bedding looked cleaned. Bathrooms were clean too. Biggest complaint was the smell. Baby on the next room cried all night.

The place is in the middle of reconstruction, but we had booked in advance and arrived too late to find another hotel. We had to take the stairway because the elevator was not working. The stairs and halls were covered with paint chips. Our bedroom walls were exuding noxious gases from fresh paint. An extensive remodel such as this should not be open to the public. You should shut it down and have a grand reopening.

It's tough to judge. There was construction going on in the hotel. Would have been nice to have that on the website. I was only there for a quick sleep. Bed was comfortable and clean. Front desk clerk was helpful and friendly.

Disgusting.

I was given a room with a door that did not lock. It pushed open without the key card, and instead of s strike plate for the lock, there was a roughly carved out notch in the door jamb. The desk attendant switched my room, but I've never seen a dirtier more rundown hotel, and I've stayed in some seedy ones before. The carpets in the hall were filthy, writing on walls and peeling wallpaper, peeling ceiling stucco, and an overall damp musty smell. My view was a pile of discarded mattresses. The comforter had a cigarette burn in it. The shower never got hot, and there was no hair dryer. The breakfast, at 7am, was a pile of still-frozen pastries.

Had to switch rooms. First one was dirty with hair on the floor, an ugly cracked tub when it was supposed to be a renovated room. Also a blood stain the mattress pad cover. Next room slightly better, hall carpets nasty dirty. Also for some reason my room, floor , chair , bed etc. had a vibration happening the whole time i was there. So noticeable that my stomach felt queasy. Run a mile from this place. Awful. Pictures are of the hall carpet and my view from my window. If they cared at all about esthetics those would have been carted of somewhere not left out as an eyesore.

The hotel is undergoing renovations on the 2nd floor. My room was on the 3rd floor. The elevator is terribly slow. When I showered in the morning, there was no body soap, so I had to use shampoo - which is OK, but c'mon, refill those dispensers. The hotel is in a very noisy area, right off the Interstate. Even with my window closed, the traffic was loud. I was able to use the traffic noise to help me get to sleep - like a meditative noise, but there was another guy at the front desk asking for a refund. I don't know for sure, but I suspect he had found the highway noise to be too much, and I don't blame him. That said, the price was right, and the bed was comfortable enough. I stayed only one night, and would never stay in a hotel like this - so close to the highway - for more than just one night.

I made our reservation a week in advance. Date of reservation, September 18th, I notified the motel that we were arriving late due to late flight into Providence, R.I. The lady confirmed my reservation and made a note.. We arrived at shortly after midnight, only to find that the reservation was cancelled and no VACANCIES WERE AVAILABLE! My wife almost panicked however we were blessed with finding a room in another motel shortly after. I asked why my reservation was cancelled and was told my 'Master card' was not correct. i informed the clerk... I don't even have or use a Master Card. We left! In the future, I hope that the La Quinta Inn, for customers sake, picks up the phone and calls before cancelling a room that was both confirmed and reserved.

Probably will be good when the remodel is done

I’m sure this hotel will be nice eventually, as it is under renovations, but until then it is not the best. The room we stayed in was renovated, but the paint smell was very strong and gave us soar throats. I would definitely check with them to see where they are in the process.
