An incredible property surrounded by magnificent gardens. Fabulous breakfast. Rooms a little small for the price. Reception staff were efficient and courteous, but not overly welcoming/friendly. Exceptional organisation and management (Elvis and team) of the wedding celebration activities in the Orangery deserve an extra special mention.

A lovely building set in beautiful grounds, it looks stunning as you approach on the drive in. Quick and easy check-in process, but unfortunately, our first room was stiflingly hot and we changed rooms without issue. The evening meal in the 1853 was just OK….the £13 ‘Duck Terrine’ starter just looked like Pâté, the £7 Caesar Salad was dressed with what tasted like a generic supermarket bottled dressing and the £9 Tiramisu was ‘sweaty’ suggesting it had been prepared away from the property. Overall, I get the impression the building and fabulous grounds do a lot of ‘heavy lifting’ for the rest of the experience. Just my opinion…..

We loved our stay here, it’s very spread out so you feel like you have a lot of space. It’s beautiful inside and outside, very comfortable with good facilities. The extras like the tea and coffee and toiletries were of very good quality. We used the spa (which you need to book) and the gym, both were small but had everything you needed. Staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend and return.
