There was mould in our bedroom on arrival, the staff did change our room to a slightly cleaner room. After I raised the concern that I suffer from asthma. The bathroom was filthy. The Carpets were diabolical, stains all over the walls. overall was not a comfortable nights stay.

I had to check out early, but probably would have anyway. The bed was uncomfortable, there was a giant fan outside, right next to my room, that would go on. You could hear regular conversations on the street with the window closed. The tub had mildew around it, near the toilet was not clean. They need to overhaul the rooms. The staff were super friendly.
The Wynnstay Arms is a lovely place the staff are brilliant we stopped afew years ago as we had our wedding there so though to go back for our anniversary yesterday but when we got to our room there was marks all over the wall and dents in the wall and the bathroom wasn't very clean other than that everything else was fine nice comfortable bed tea and coffee lots of things to do around there but i dont think i would stop again thank you

Staff were lovely and friendly. Rooms are quite small and all felt a little tired, but good location in the centre of town.
I stayed here with my daughter for 4 nights. The staff were lovely. We only actually encountered one coincidentally but she was so kind and super helpful.
The room decor was a little dated but cosy and comfortable. The bed was fab! Absolutely a must after the trekking all day.
We also had a lovely large bath which we used every day! The plug would let water out when using but I managed to fix it. I did attempt a shower but the power was so high the shower head flew off the wall and almost flooded the bathroom 😂 so we stuck with baths moving forward.
The rooms are close together so if you’re a light sleeper it’s not ideal. You hear A LOT from the neighbours and pub downstairs. Again not an issue for us.
The room had everything we needed including a smart tv which was nice for my daughter at night. Also had free WiFi and parking which is great 😊 I must mention the hot chocolate also. It’s pretty standard to receive the tea/coffee etc but this was a wonderful touch and it was so tasty! I even attempted to find the Welsh branded hot chocolate to take home. Sadly no joy!
It is a dog friendly hotel and we did come across a lot of dog hair (don’t think that’s any fault of the cleaning) just one of those things!
Will absolutely stay again when up in Snowdonia.

Wynnstay Arms, Wexham.
Friendly staff, room still a bit dated. We had window open and all we could hear for the whole stay was what I think was a refrigeration unit quite loud for the entire time. Food was good and reasonably priced.
The hotel was filthy. I couldn't wait to check out. Also there was scaffolding all around the building and the windows were not lockable. I felt totally unsafe with my kids, especially we were facing the pubs and bars. It was noisy and unsuitable
Because there isn't any A/C we needed to leave the window open and we were facing the parking lot where lots of people congregated to talk & smoke late in the evening. So, it was hard getting sleep with the noise & being warm. The reception manager was super helpful but the fan that she found was broken and she couldn't locate an operational one. The parking lot was nearly impossible to find since it wasn't marked well and they were working on the road in front of the hotel.

Really nice pub in busy area with doorway to rooms at back, rooms surprisingly not loud and comfortable but ageing and ok, generally clean but don't look behind the cabinets or in all the corners. Very handy for the football or a night out and plenty of convenient bits nearby.
