Great pools, great beach, great snorkeling, Buffets were OK, but not as many choices as in the past. Seemed o be adjusted for a decrease in guests. The ala-carts were amazing though.

I have stayed at this hotel for their great service. The staff is amazing! The resort is extremely clean. The view is beautiful! I highly recommend this resort with accessibility to the rest of the hotels. In my opinion one of the best experiences when I go to Maya Riviera. The best part for me is I could actually relax here.

Resort is nice and clean! Adult pool is quiet and relaxing! Staff is attentive! Variety of food was good! However, my room was all the way to the end so I had to walk a long way. I was not offered a room upgrade.

There are so many pools at this resort that crowding doesn’t seem like a problem! The resort is so big, there’s always something to do! We went for our honeymoon and enjoyed every bit of this place. It was also our first time in Mexico and at an all inclusive resort and i couldn’t be happier with Barceló Maya. Will probably only be going here from now on!

Barcelo Maya is a huge resort and I think it would be great for family. The beach is very nice. You can see lots of fish from the beach by the Hotel Palace, and also enjoy very sandy/smooth beach by hotel Beach. I visited five specialty restaurants for staying for five nights. I enjoyed all of them, but Caribeno - seafood restaurant was the best. Brasserie - the French restaurant was slow to bring out food and to be seated, but their food was excellent as well. If you visit Rodizio, Brazilian stakehouse, choose the skewer option. They will bring out like 7 different meat for you. La Fuente Spenish restaurant and Marenostrum, seafood restaurant was good as well, but I liked the three from Palace more. I was there during the week, and it seemed that they didn't open Kyoto or Tokyo. Room was kept clean and mini bars stocked every day. We had two different rooms, and one room with 4 people was humid, even with A/C and the ceiling fan on. (not hot; it was cool but humid - the floor was a little slippery time to time.) Almost all the staff you see were very nice and courteous. We all enjoyed the stay very much, and will probably come back.

Everything was wonderful. Staff excellent! Typical buffet food for breakfast & lunch. Dinners were delicious. Be prepared to walk A LOT! We had premium (front of building facing the ocean) & we still walked 12,000+ steps per day. Resort is beautiful. Beach amazing. Pools huge! Fun for anyone any age. If you don’t enjoy this resort it’s your own fault. Take the trip! You won’t regret it.
