they are having standard room like rats box, no windows. When I asked for room with windows, they try to charge me extra 10$, finally I pay 5$ overcharge. Avoid at any cost, around are plenty of similar hotels with lower prices.
I arrived in Yangon very late at night. when I arrived at the hotel they were waiting for me. they speak very little English but they know what to do. the room I had booked was clean and even had drinking water ready for me. I found the window was a little too small so I upgraded to a room with a balcony, the upgrade cost me very little and the staff helped me move. overall this is a great hotel which makes it very well is the staff, they are always there and willing to help and answer any question. planning to go back to Yangon next November and I will definitely book a room at this hotel.
Ive stayed here about 3 times over the years but I probably wont stay again , not sure if its new owners or something else , it just was nt as great as in the past . It is a handy walk to everything , a balcony room is great value as you get a chance to sit a watch Yangon life stroll past .
Overall, I was expecting better from this hotel due to its good ratings, but I was disappointed. The WiFi did not work for me, the hotel had cigarette smells throughout the common areas and in the bedroom a little as well. There was a small nail poking through the seat (I used a towel to deal with that minor issue). Also, the room is very small.
The positive points about this inn are that the staff are friendly, it is easy to buy a phone topup at the front desk, and the breakfast was okay.
In summary, I would not recommend this place for a friend.
This was a very nice hotel located in a working class neighborhood. Close to all the tourist attractions. Amazing street food nearby, endless choices. Grocery store within 3 minute walk if wanting to buy a few items while staying in this part of town. Prices in Yangon will make your travel dollar stretch further than you can imagine. We felt very safe at all times and would book this hotel again when returning to Yangon.
Do not book your ride from the airport to hotel online, you can save lots of money by using Uber or getting taxi at airport. Be sure to negotiate taxi fare before getting into car. If you book a taxi with your hotel you can pay up to 85 dollars US to get that ride. If you get a sim card and data plan for your cell (must have unlocked cell phone) at the airport this cost around 4dollars US for 1 month of call service. You can Uber a ride to your hotel for around 4 to 5 dollars US. If you don't want to buy a sim card or cell service you can use the free airport Wi-Fi to book your Uber ride.
I stayed at the Family Treasure Yangon for 28 days due to a volunteer trip at Yangon General Hospital. I chose it originally because of the location (5 minute walk) and of the previous reviews. It is a mid-ranged hotel near Chinatown, which I thought was a great deal. The staff here is quite gracious. There were several choices for breakfast, which was a good portion and delicious. Rooms had hot running water with good pressure and was more than spacious for my needs. I did not have any major wifi issues. I did choose a room with a window due to my long stay. I would stay here again and would recommend it highly to anyone.
The hotel can help with you a taxi and travel arrangements, but there is an up-charge. It is in walking distance to Chinatown and the 19th Street Night Market. There are also many local restaurants nearby and the supermarket is at the end of the street. There are also many close bus routes to downtown and up Paya Street.
All of the staff members here were awesome, sweet, and professional. The room was the perfect size for two people. The bathroom facility was kept very clean. Our room and bathroom were cleaned daily. Breakfast provided was excellent but the stuff really went above and beyond when they offered us the Noodle soup options which were not made onsite. Those items were delicious and kept us full for most of the day. The air conditioner worked perfectly. My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Yangon.

Liked: Staff & service
Good access to most places.
I found the room a Lille small for a five day visit. Hotel located on the edge of a very vibrant and intense Chinatown.
Very attentive service staff, nice breakfast buffet, comfortable room, restaurant on site for lunch and dinner, a little far from the centre of town but easily accessible by tricycle
Polite and helpful staff. Location is good and within walking distance to China town, night market, Junction city and so on. Room was clean and comfortable. It would be great if the breakfast could further improve.
Lovely family run hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was small but in the back of hotel and was quiet and clean. Bed and pillows comfortable. Breakfast was good and cooked fresh to order. Great location a few minutes walk from Chinatown and modern shopping mall nearby. Only a few tv channels though and with sound issues. Internet worked ok most of the time in the room but sometimes cut out but faster in the lobby. Good value for money as Yangon hotels are expensive. Will book them next time we go back.
