This was a good central place to stay in Yellowstone. The lodge is fairly new and well built. It was hard to find parking in the evening when the lodges were full. You could walk to the restaurants which is nice but the menu options were pretty limited. We stayed 5 nights and had maid service 1 day. The bed was made but trash was not emptied and towels were not replaced. The room could use more lighting. Overall, it was a fine place to stay to enjoy the park, but the facility itself was nothing special.

The lodging facility was clean and easy to access. However, due to the location in the park, we were limited to the cafeteria-style dining options at the lodge. The dining was subpar, to say the least. Many of the food options on the already limited menu were unavailable and were of the quality of a frozen TV dinner. The asian noodles were spaghetti noodles without any sort of seasoning, sauce, or salt. I recommend eating at the diner (burger/fries/breakfast sandwich). Solid hash browns and fries and the closest you'll get to a sit-down restaurant meal. *This diner is technically on the property but is not managed by the same company. Do not rely on the shuttle if you have functioning legs because the driver will not pick you up after you have eaten (there is no way to contact the shuttle) and the walk to and from the lodges to the dining area is easy.

I stayed in different cabins during this trip at Grand Teton and Old Faithful Lodge prior to Canyon Lodge. By far, Canyon Lodge is the largest, cleanest cabin with shower that has great water pressure. Problem is it’s 15’ walking to dining area. Dining options are very limited and staff seemed confused. Burger from Fountain and Grill is the best food we could find but it closes at 7! General store is poorly stocked. Most importantly, WiFi is at best intermittent and there is no signal otherwise. Minimal hot water when we showered late one evening.

It was an excellent property, good location, excellent staff. We didn’t realize or didn’t expect that there will be no TV or AC( not having AC was fine but, not sure if it will be ok in hot summer).

Although the young people who predominantly staff the Canyon Village property are extremely nice, cordial and hard working, the property was a disappointment. I can only blame poor management and a lack of oversight for the issues we experienced. First, although the policy at Canyon Village is to have room service every day, this did not occur. After, they didn’t clean our room after the first night, I talked to the folks at the main desk, they apologized profusely and committed that it would not happen again, but it did. After talking to the service staff again, a young man committed that he would clean it while we were out for the evening. He did, but he did not refresh either the toilet paper (leaving us with only about a quarter of a roll, nor the coffee fixings for in-room coffee machine. Another issue is the lack of lighting in their rooms. If you think that you’re going to unwind in the evening reading a book (since there are no TV’s), you better be reading from your iPad or using one of those neck lights. There is no light fixture between the beds. The overall lighting is scarce. Also, they say that they have internet, but it is so weak, that you will never be able to make use of it.

First, I think the lack of facilities likeTelevision or radio in the rooms for the patrons that want more than just the hiking. The posibility a Tv in the group rooms may be an option. Maybe comunicate with the booking agencies to advise the people to bring a lap top to comunicate with the outside world. A hot tub or as pool area may offset the hot springs they visit. Keep growing and I may just recomend you to my friends

We came at the start of the season so staff were still getting to learn how things worked. Despite that normal learning curve, everyone we dealt with were gracious and professional. Location was wonderful and rooms were brand new. Highly recommend

The lodge is beautiful and the location is great. For the price, I would have loved for it to be cleaner. Our shower had mold on the tiled walls (which could easily wipe off but obviously hadn’t been wiped in quite some time). We stayed two nights so after the first night I let the manager know. She was apologetic, offered a discount and said she would send housekeeping up that day to clean. Upon returning to our room late that night we discovered they did not come clean it.
