Although the young people who predominantly staff the Canyon Village property are extremely nice, cordial and hard working, the property was a disappointment. I can only blame poor management and a lack of oversight for the issues we experienced. First, although the policy at Canyon Village is to have room service every day, this did not occur. After, they didn’t clean our room after the first night, I talked to the folks at the main desk, they apologized profusely and committed that it would not happen again, but it did. After talking to the service staff again, a young man committed that he would clean it while we were out for the evening. He did, but he did not refresh either the toilet paper (leaving us with only about a quarter of a roll, nor the coffee fixings for in-room coffee machine. Another issue is the lack of lighting in their rooms. If you think that you’re going to unwind in the evening reading a book (since there are no TV’s), you better be reading from your iPad or using one of those neck lights. There is no light fixture between the beds. The overall lighting is scarce. Also, they say that they have internet, but it is so weak, that you will never be able to make use of it.
