They need more staff.Check in there was only one person most of the time. Same for the coffee/ snack bar, only one person. The wait is awful, pack your patience...We stayed for 4 days and couldn't get anyone to clean our room. They dropped off towels once and then after we asked for toilet paper and more towels and washcli which we still didn't receive the wash clothes. We also had to ask for them to empty our trash. The food was good enough in the restaurants but they offered little selection. They had the same thing the whole time we were there. A TV in the room would of been nice to have too The rooms are nice enough but won't stay that way with out any housekeeping. They also need better lighting in the rooms. I could see to read. Over Priced for the poor service quality!

We asked for service of tub not draining on first day and it was never taken care of in three days. We asked for clean towels and never received. There was not adequate parking for handicap vehicles. We had to park in front of the cabins and walk approximately a block to our lodge. When asked about it the desk clerk was rude and said that was just the way it was.

It all about the location and its history.
The room's are basic clean and tidy with all the essentials.
We enjoyed our stay but I still think it's a bit pricey for what you get.
We didn't realize the only food options were a long walk away from the hotel area. The offerings for Canyon Village were really poor. The food was only cafeteria style - not much selection or appeal. The seaing was like a bus station. We would have liked a cocktail lounge but that area was jammed and not at all welcoming. Felt like I was in a dorm again. For the high price of the room, the dining options were not appropriate even though I know Yellowstone has to process an enormous amount of people in and out.
This hotel is in the park. Just be aware there's no a/c which was not needed when I stayed. The parking is crazy. Had to park extremely far away from the hotel and the parking lot is very dark due to their reduced light pollution policy. Make sure your have a flashlight. Foot is available but far away from the hotel. Very expensive for what you get but i guess because you are in the park.
I thought all the different lodges were pretty which is what we stayed in. The cabins looked neat. When we arrived we saw some elk behind some of the cabins. I liked that everything was all on one property. I missed where the registration office was so I had to ask someone. Either I just looked it over or maybe there needs to be another sign? Overall everything was good and we would stay here again for sure. The food was average. Not bad but nothing good. Maybe more options on that? Or maybe the good places were closed already?

Peeling paint in the motel room.
Lots of dirt and food droppings under the eating counters.
Motel room without air conditioning must be miserable in midsummer.
Room was clean and comfortable. Centrally located in park, so that was great. Woods and sound of stream right outside window--lovely. Fridge in room but no microwave. WiFi is terrible and there is not much cell service. No air conditioning. Food is downright horrible and overpriced. Bring as much food and drinks with you as you can. Microwaves are available in some public areas.
No microwave or kettle in room and coffee pot didn’t work so we had to go outside and across the road to get a coffee or cup of team. Annoying considering the price of accommodation. Lodge is clean , quiet and centrally located.
