Disappointment

The park was beautiful, but the hotel sucked. Black mold on the bottom grout line in the shower (gross), only one towel per person given (I need two) and they weren't changed, so we had to use damp towels from first day on. The in the room coffee was the worst tasting and it was our 40th wedding anniversary trip. I'll never stay there again and I'm telling all my friends to NEVER stay at the lake lodge!

No hot water, TV, or WiFi. Very expensive for what you get, cabin was not clean. Wonderful breakfast buffet, beautiful lake view and veranda at main facility.

The Hotel is beautiful with a porch &rocking chairs. (more chairs are needed) we stayed in cabin 606. It was decorated very nicely, but neither the heater nor the bathroom fan worked. Make dinner reservations when you book. We didn’t and could not eat there. We ended up eating at the more casual Lake Lodge hotel. Their porch and rocking chairs are great.

Wonderful resort except: Tried to get reservation for dinner and they were full. The person in charge was absolutely hostile to try and accommodate us. I travel all over the country and the response was as bad as I have ever seen. Absolutely terrible customer service!!!! When you spend $1000 a night your option should be more than a hot dog a mile away. Otherwise it is a great resort. I wish the food experience had been better.!!!!!

Historic Old Style Hotel

We were given a room in the smaller 2nd building on the second. Building doesn't have an elevator. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom could have been cleaner. We were disappointed to not be able to get reservations for dining either night we were there. Every staff member we encountered were very friendly. Not having internet service was inconvenient

Poor hotel from all aspects, DON’T COME.

The worst hotel/lodge ever lived in. (1) No WIFI. It’s 2025: WIFI is presumed for hotels, especially for this $400+/night room, just like ATM is always presumed for bank branches. Therefore, WIFI unavailability should be explicitly declared pre-booking, rather than throw the responsibility to customers for not reading info carefully because this hotel didn’t say “they have WIFI”. (2) A/C control is there but it didn’t work and was told that that’s true for the whole building. I was not informed about this by the front desk named Desiree upon checkin. (3) Poor housekeeping. Blood trace on the sheets. Dirty bathtub. Poorly folded towels - looks like folded by the previous person rather than the housekeeper. (4) Poor room design. Sink is right in front of the bed. Very uncomfortable and extremely ugly. (5) Safety issue. No illumination in the parking lot, not safe for pedestrians at night. (6) No hospitality. Why TF is a restaurant in such a poor hotel in Yellowstone by reservation only, especially for people who live here? This info wasn’t declared in the hotel info. What a poor management team who ONLY thinks about making money!

Property and surroundings were as expected and very good, My only complaint is with Expedia. They did not do well in keeping us informed. We were notified we would receive an e-mail with info about making a dinner reservation. It never came, so when we checked in the earliest seating for dinner was at 9:30 PM. The dining room staff were great and got us in 1/2 hour earlier.
