Was one of the only hotel options in the area available for a half decent price for a same day booking. Hotel is a little dark and older and the room had a faint cigarette smell. The staff, however was friendly and accommodated my feather allergies.

Adequate hotel for one night
The hotel is in an area of massage parlours and girly bars! The room was adequate with a sofa, TV, fridge & microwave bit needs modernisation. The hotel is a little odd and feels a bit like a love hotel! It was about a 30 minute walk to Chinatown, although there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, including Don Quixote.
Everything above is a reflection of the cheap price of the hotel! It was clean too with plenty of shampoo, soap etc

Extend booking
I check in 1 day and I extend another day. It’s better if you will not as guest to check out instead transfer the guest to another room since guest is already check in. Also don’t ask early check in payment if the guest already check in if you will transfer the guest to another room.
Very nice experience. The room is bigger than the Japanese average, but the area is the red zone of Yokohama.

What knocked me back was on my arrival at the front door of the hotel, there was a Keep Out sign on the double doors. It took the “ wind out of my sail “ It wasn’t welcoming at all. I hope they sort it out 🙏
I wish I had read the reviews a bit more carefully before booking this. The only positive thing I have to say about this hotel is that it had very good Wi-Fi.
Otherwise, It was awful. Peeling wallpaper, dirty, stained carpets, A non-smoking room that had the ingrained reek of decades of cigarettes. Located far from public transport and surrounded by massage parlours in a dingy street.
No matter how cheap it is, it is not worth it. Avoid!
Creepy BLACK/gold stripe hall walls. Scary neighborhood. Friends in town said we should move out. We left two days early. Don't know if they gave us a refund for last two days. (I think you paid them early.)
Very low to zero security--first floor doors totally unlocked all night. Laundry unsecured. Tiny room. Thin walls (noisy).
Live Max Hotel isezakicho is a converted monthly mansion building. Location fine in the middle of a good shopping street, for Japan room big and bed very nice. Only 'strange' thing was that the rooms have no telephone, so had to use SKYPE for my calls, internet connection good and free. Check in after 15:00 and check out 10:00. Vending machine each floor and not expensive also quite a few reasonable restaurants and food shops nearby.Ground floor large Sushi restaurant but entry on street level.

Directions to the hotel
Better directions have to be provided for the travellers to reach the hotel.
If you take a taxi from Yokohama station it should be between 1500-2000 yen.
Another way is to take JR Keyhin-Tohoku like to Kannai station. Once you get off on Kannai station, preferrably to the right side of the platform if you are moving from Yokohama, cross the street and find the fancy gates to the pedestrian street called Isazakecho, move about 4 blocks along the street and to your left right between the suchi bar and a small clothing shop, just before a tall narrow metal arch with bells (it's lighted green at night) there will be the entrance to the hotel.
