Brilliant location stones throw from minster. Staff were extrememy friendly and accommoding with parking arrangements. Room was a brilliant size (we had 3 adults sharing 2 single beds and a sofa bed). Not at all cramped. All decoration and bathroom lovely and clean. Ample tea and voffee in room and at reception was nice touch. Good choice of hot breakfast options on the menu. Couldn't fault location. Very central but the minster bells didn't keep us awake, good soundproofing! Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Broken extractor fan

We stayed in room 50 which was a lovely room but it was very cold at night. The only thing that was very annoying was the extractor fan in the bathroom it stayed on all night & was very noisy. It was meant to only come on when the light was on but obviously it was broken. We only realised this when we came back to our room late that night.

Being from out of the country, I was delighted to be welcomed so warmly and accommodated with an extra night after my last minute request. The food was excellent and it was lovely hearing the Minster chime throughout the day. Would definitely stay here again if I get to visit York again.

A lovely, comfortable, hotel with some of the best fish and chips that I had in two weeks of travel. And while eating breakfast I gazed at the gargoyles of York Minster from just a block away. Such a wonderful stay to end my trip!

Great location, great room. Desk clerk was rather grumpy, but appeared to be working double shifts for days in a row. Good restaurant, but they played rock music while the nearby Minster played its bells. Highly recommended.
