The only negative was the breakfast. Scrambled eggs were terrible and didn’t even taste of egg. Would have preferred a more varied range for a hot breakfast with fried eggs and hash browns and mushrooms. Not a great selection for vegetarians or vegans.

Nice enough hotel, but very basic for a Hilton. The rooms were nice but the breakfast was distinctly "canteen-y" and no better than a Premier Inn.

Easy walk to the attractions
Three of us stayed for 1 night in 1 room, so 1 queen bed & 1 sofa bed, all very comfortable but very little floor space once the sofa bed was set up. Had dinner in the dining room & service was good, breakfast next morning was great. Also very much appreciated being able to leave our luggage for the day.

Great location .. just be aware there are 2 Hampton hotels in York .. make sure you double check which one you are heading for especially if on foot from the train station.. google sent us to the wrong one so we wasted a lot of time and effort . Hotel was fine for couple of nights tho. Breakfast was plentiful.. something for everyone.. whatever your preference. Staff werent always the most happy/ friendly but they were probably busy.
