Really enjoyed the stay. Breakfast choices were excellent. The location was suitable for both the city centre and also the York Barbican enabling us to walk everywhere.

This was my second time staying here, and again it didn’t disappoint. The staff are welcoming and friendly, the hotel is stylish, clean and comfortable, and the room had everything we needed. It is in a great position in a quiet area but only a few minutes walk to a lot of different places (York Minster, The Shambles, markets, museums etc.), so is an ideal base for a stay in York.

Lovely clean, comfortable hotel
We thoroughly enjoyed our stayed at The Indigo, York, from checking in to departing. Efficient friendly check-in, lovely comfortable, spacious, nicely decorated room and bathroom. Breakfast service and food was excellent. The hotel is only a 10-15 minute walk to the city centre. We would definitely recommend, and we plan to return again next year

We can recommend this hotel. It’s a 5 minute walk from the centre. It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, cooked to order. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Great for the Christmas market

Friendly staff at check in and particularly at breakfast where the food options were of a high quality with nice touches like Christmas gingerbread muffins and a special of Hungarian eggs which made for a more personal/less corporate feel. Rooms are spacious with nice amenities and comfy beds. Room was also refreshed during our two night stay which was great. Perfectly situated for enjoying the city, highly recommended.

Good room and facilities. Bar service was poor - this was at a weekend. There wss usually only one barkeeper, who was obliged to serve at tables and lounge areas, leaving the bar unattended. The hotel's system did not permit the bar keeper to stay in the bar; guests could easily have ordered from the bar and carried their own drinks.
