Graduation Ceremony Stay
The hotel location was great with a short walk into York. It's a shame that there was a need to charge an additional £17.50 for parking per day when we had spent £250 booking 2 rooms. Plus our complementary drinks vouchers never arrived in our inboxes but the hotel was pleasant and we had a nice stay.

It took 3 room changes until we were given a room that resembled what we had booked and everything worked in it. When retrieving our left luggage the receptionist bashed out bags which had delicate items in them against the counter.

Disappointing
A bit of a disappointing stay. Check in is a ridiculous 4pm onwards. Shower out of order so had to shower sat in a tiny bath with a hand held shower! Toilets in the foyer overflowing, car parking £16 a night and if you want to check in early that will be another £30! To be honest there are much better hotels and for the price the Novotel is it's a bit poor.

Amazing hotel with amazing staff. The room facilities are probably marked to 3 star standard or whether the five star service from all staff members definitely warrants the four stars.

A 10-15 walk into the city, but very handy for parking as you only pay per night rather than per day. Family room was fine. Kids’ beds a little hard. Reception area nice with games for kids and a nice bar. We ended up eating at the restaurant the evening. Food good but service was painfully slow, and we were pretty much the only people there as well
