Location, location,location! It’s at the heart of all the action and n York. Virtually all the tourist spots are easily walkable. We had a family room. It was spacious. Yes the hotel is old but staff was very helpful and more or less things were clean. Breakfast was good.

Lovely hotel great location
Lovely hotel very friendly staff. Lovely room with a king size bed over looking the river. Food in the restaurant was nice and at a good price. Location of the hotel is superb and is it right in the city centre.

New Years Eve stay
Have stayed in the Queens a couple of times for New year its comfortable warm atmosphere and breakfast is good. Great location would stay here next time we come to York.

Rooms tired staff nice
Shower wasn’t hot bath was pretty stained and smelt of bleach, breakfast was the best part of the stay , but I couldn’t have eggs as they only had scrambled and I’m lactose intolerant. Staff are very friendly. Rooms have seen better days towels are tiny. Lights were full of dust, dropped my earring and under bed was very dusty .

My friend and I have stayed at The Queen's Hotel York on a Few occasions and have always found it extremely clean and tidy, the Staff are Always Welcoming, Kind, Respectful and Friendly. The Breakfast is always fresh We look forward to staying there again in The New Year 2025

excellent hotel just a short walk to the town centre, room was large so was the bathroom, breakfast was very good, the only issue i had in the roon was there was only one socket for our charges.granted it had 2 usb hubs, but the newer phones are c charges with no usb.so it was a bit inconvenient trying to charge 2 phones from one socket, but that is a small issue, overall i would recommend this hotel and would definitely go back next year.

3 generation Christmas shopping trip
3 generation Christmas shopping trip, bookable parking so convenient, as long as the Ouse is not on flood alert, hotel a little dated and tired, but clean comfy, basic drinks tray in room, replenished everyday. Reception staff warm friendly helpful and professional. Position of hotel great, just being far enough out of the centre to watch the hustle and bustle but not to be dusturbed by it, just over the bridge by the Micklegate. Loved the Christmas markets, and would definitely stay again to explore York 😀

Lovely helpful staff. The room was a very good size, well equipped with facilities to make a hot drink, but a little tired in places. The mattress felt worn and not particularly comfortable, which was the only thing we felt let the stay down, but not enough to put us off staying again. Great location for the city centre as well as York Barbican.

Whist the location was great, just a short walk across the bridge into the heart of town, there was a big problem with the wifi in the hotel. They new about this and there were messages around the hotel apologising but was forced to reley on hotspot from my mobile, Hope they get the fibre connection sorted soon. The room was nice, clean, and had a great view acroos the river to the city, the breakfast was good (except the coffee)

We have stayed here twice now. Excellent location lovely views over the river. Rooms lovely and clean and friendly welcoming staff. Lovely breakfast with the best poached eggs!
