Disappointed
We were very happy with the room, the staff were excellent and the bed was wonderful. However, we paid extra for a larger room and for a later checkout. Part of this weekend was to enjoy some relaxing time, watching tv in bed Saturday evening and Sunday morning. The tv in this room (125) doesn’t work and despite my best efforts, still doesn’t work which is very disappointing. Also the bathroom sink is blocked and the water isn’t draining away. Both of these issues should have been picked up and addressed before the room being occupied and it has spoilt our stay!

Very large room with good kitchen. Note - no oven, just microwave/convection, and the extractor fan doesn’t actually take the smoke out, it just circulates it, we set off a smoke alarm. Walking distance from local shops and city centre, underground parking. Free coffee machine (a good one) and free croissants in the morning in lieu of dining room

Amazing apartment hotel. Modern, clean and got everything you need for a good stay in York. Parking was convenient- spars but we did manage to get parked - we paid £30 for Friday evening - Sunday evening. The hotel has a free coffee machine in reception as well as a snack facility. Roomz overlooks the river Ouse so to get into York it's a simple from via the river and across the bridge- took us 10mins to get into York centre/shambles etc. rooms were clean, tidy and had kitchens what was handy as I have many food allergies so cooking facilities and a fridge was essential when booking to stay in York. Hotel staff manning reception were all helpful, friendly and informative of the area. Theres lifts on site should you be placed on the top floor. Would definitely stay here again when visiting York. Will keep a look out for other roomz hotels in the future.

When we arrived with a reservation there had been some mix up and there was no room available. However, the manager came in from home to figure out a solution. Although the wait was inconvenient, we were very satisfied with the outcome. Would definitely return and plan to investigate availability at their Edinbourgh location.
