Authentic, staff and location.
We enjoyed the interaction with the staff, the food, and suggestions regarding places to visit. Overall outstanding trip for us.

The staff were very pleasant and very friendly. The food was delicious and well presented, however there was only one menu for the 4 days of our stay so choice was a bit limited. The hotel is well located in beautiful countryside and is very convenient for a number of interesting places. Overall we thought that the hotel is in need of some serious renovation and updating. Our best and en-suite really was dated and the shower cubicle was very tight and not in very condition.

Our standard double was quite small and the bathroom definitely very bijou. It was clean but more attention to dusting would be good plus impossible to watch TV from the bed and chairs were old and uncomfortable. The bar and bar/ restaurant (cricketers) were ok and staff pleasant. Food was good and plentiful. All in all, the hotel is in dire need of an update. I would stay again as I liked the bar, food and country feel about the place.
Lovely Yorkshire pub with rooms on site and across road. Great breakfast, comfy bed and reasonable sized bedroom with on suite bathroom. Great location. Would stay again.
Very friendly and helpful greeting , we arrived just as the kitchen was closing , however the host very kindly took our food order and showed us to a very pleasant table before completing the check in , which after a four and a half hour drive we were extremely grateful. It certainly started our weekend perfectly and continued to enjoy our stay in as much as we booked a second night at the Worsley Arms Hotel .
In summary , welcoming hosts, polite attentive staff, lovely hotel with garden, food both breakfast and evening 5* , surroundings perfect .
Wonderful village Excellent dog walks Very friendly helpful staff very nice food & not expensive Great atmosphere..a touch of old world charm about the place Overall great value we shall certainly go again

This was a return visit, a comfortable, quiet stay. The hotel is very quaint with traditional decor, sitting room areas and a games section. Situated in an idilic village with beautiful architecture. The breakfast was superb. We had an evening meal in the Cricketers bar, the steak and ale pie was wonderful! Highly recommend and dog friendly.

Disliked: Amenities
The property was a little tired. We phoned ahead to say we would be arriving approx 2200 hours. On arrival the lady was not rude but also not very welcoming. The TV in the room didn’t work. The breakfast however was lovely and the 2 young servers were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them. Overall we wouldn’t stay here again though

Mini break
The breakfast was fine the hotel needs updating but was in keeping with the area and comfortable enough my issue was hygiene the bathroom was dirty and the bedroom probably needed a deep clean .
Lovely village with quaint comfortable rooms and a hotel with genteel style. Fully dog friendly with excellent sommelier and kind, helpful staff.

Food decent but expensive. Drinks expensive. Room quite small-no floor space to use suitcase stand. Bed comfortable. Lot of stairs up to the room-bit of a long pull. Decor quite shabby and in need of refreshing.
