This was a great stay for 2 adults and 2 children. Despite there being a sign up on arrival that there was a private event with music till midnight… I didn’t hear a thing, the rooms are nice and quiet, the pool was lovely to wind down in after a busy day, and the breakfast was great, plenty of choice, fresh and was replenished often. Parking is £7 for each night, and there is a bus stop on the opposite side of the road just outside the hotel to take you into York, the bus’s are every 15 minutes and we purchased a family all day ticket for around £9.60 which was super convenient, overall a fantastic couple of days was has by all!

I was exited to be offered an upgrade, unfortunately I could hear the hum of a fan or generator. I spoke to reception and they quickly swapped my room. This is a nice hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. To be recommended.

Lovely hotel!

We had a great stay. I was slightly concerned with a few negative reviews. But I was pleasantly surprised! The room was spacious and clean, it would have been great if we had robes here so we could use for the pool area. The breakfast was great, lots of choice and a lively selection. The chef came out and spoke to us about dietary requirements, he said was so helpful and sweet. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Every single one! We had an evening meal here too and that was lovely. I’d definitely come back. The pool was great, a little busy sometimes but it was half term.

Good hotel, would stay again.

Good hotel. Staff were friendly and amenities were good also. Breakfast was nice but the bar food was ok not great. For the cost of the evening meal it would probably be worth while eating out.

Brilliant layout and friendly staff. The chef struggled with making a proper dinner on the first night but the staff more or less made up for it by not charging for dessert or a service charge. Wonderful views.
