2 stars for the front desk people all being kind, the coffee was good & bed was comfortable. Minus stars for a few reasons. I had left a voicemail the morning of my reservation to see if I could check in any earlier due to the LA fires (the reason I booked the room) - I never received a call back. So I checked in at the normal time , went to my room and noticed the lights only worked in the front half of the room. No lights would turn on by the bed. I immediately told the front desk and they said they didn’t have any more rooms , but that they’d send maintenance to come fix it - maintenance never came. Also the walls are thin. The person above me was stomping around their room literally all hours of the night (woke me up again at 3am and 5am). I barely got any rest. Also agree with others about the lack of warmth in the room. Just concrete floors and cheap materials. Not exactly the relaxing escape from the city that I thought it would be.

Three day stay at Joshua Tree
Very good place to stay while enjoying Joshua Tree park for hikes etc. Room very comfortable, especially the bed and pillows. But missing comfortable chairs. Only one folding chair and a bench in the room, though there’s plenty of space. Also missed having a kettle for hot water

When I return, I’d like to stay longer.
It was relaxing visit. I had to work in the middle of the day and found the space perfect during this timeframe. Staff was very friendly at check in and out and the bonfire in the evenings was a very nice touch.

Sweet desert minimalism decor and great conservation with timed lights in room and no excess supplies. Would have liked in room cups and free morning coffee in room or lobby. The in house coffee shop is great but free basic coffee is expected at a hotel. Enjoyed the jacuzzi each night, loved playing bocce ball, and was great to have the fire pit to sit by and enjoy the nighttime ambiance. Would stay here again!

Large room with plenty of space but bed feels like you’re sleeping on plywood. Not comfortable at all. I’ve been to plenty of hotels before and this is the worst bed.

Much better than expected, will stay again.
Nicely updated cozy and very spacious room with a large and well maintained courtyard. The room floor was bare concrete so it’s nice to bring slippers. It’s a unique and different facility compared to ordinary hotels. We were glad we chose this place. Dog friendly facility.

Stay was good. Room was clean but felt a bit cold (not temperature wise). Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our stay was short but we would have loved to take advantage of the games and pool.

Unbelievably cheap and devoid of any amenities, all in the name of "saving the environment". Don't forget your a hotel whose guests pay a small fortune for zero service, low quality furnishings in the rooms, with narry a toilet paper dispenser or water glass to be found,

Started off bad … check in was 4pm they said our room wasn’t ready and they wound call at 5 they never did, I called to find out if our room wasn’t ready, they said maybe by 6, they said they would call. They called a little after 6 and our room was ready. Everything else was great after that. Very disappointed after traveling all day to get there and not have our room ready and have to wait 2 hours, but it was an OK stay after that they made up for it.
