It is a fairly new hotel, so it was very clean. Check in was easy and our room was very nice.

Tried the new hotel didn’t work out
Would I stay at this hotel again no.. let me start off check-in was easy you put a deposit of $50 but the next day I noticed I had another charge of $68! They reassured me. I was going to get it back when I checked out I asked about it and they said by Tuesday I should get it back unfortunately I didn’t so I had to call my bank, but that’s not it!!! When I was checking out, I informed them I paid the room with a third-party somehow they still charged me for a night after I checked out! The charge did not post until Tuesday. That’s when I noticed very very unorganized now I have to deal with canceling my card and getting a new one.! Now let’s get to breakfast. Make sure you get there within the first hour if not, a lot of the items will be out. at the end of our trip, we decided it’s not worth the price or the headache might as well just pay the extra $60-$80 and stay at the Hampton Inn & Suite!!!

The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is very clean the pool and the hot tub are nice and functioning. It's located very close to the mall so lots of dining options, plenty of parking, and very safe. Unlike a lot of hotels I have stayed in before, I did not hear noise from neighboring rooms.

La Quinta saved our horrible evening!
Before getting to La Quinta..... We got to Yuma at 5pm after a long drive from our California weekend. We book 2 room at the Shilo Inn next to the crab restaurant. We checked in and immediately smelled weed in the dimly lit hallways. Once we got to the first room we got a strong wiff of urine in the room. I don't what species relieved itself on the floor, we started packing up immediately. The second room we got had a bad odor, I believe someone spilled their beer all over the floor. We had all of belongings out of the rooms already. The whole 10 minutes we were enduring our stay there was a small dog barking incessantly in the room next to us. The front desk personnel tried to accommodate us with different rooms but I declined because what are the odds it would get any better. We then immediately book the La Quinta rooms and the elevator was in repair but the front desk personnel upgraded our rooms for no extra charge. The rooms were clean, bright and void of any smells. My kids played at the pool all evening and all morning. Breakfast went good without a hitch. Thank you La Quinta staff for your excellent service!
