Really great staff! Reception was very helpful storing our bags and having them waiting for us in our room. Breakfast was fantastic and staff were friendly and helpful. Building is in charming downtown area with easy access to transportation, restaurants, and many attractions. Room was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable.

Had a lovely stay here... Pros: - Incredible staff: Everyone from the bellman to the front desk team to the servers in the restaurant were friendly, outgoing, conversational (yet not overbearing), and just incredibly helpful. I wish they wore name tags so I could single them out by name. - Great location, right in Old Town. Some visitors have complained that the rooms were noisy, but ours was on the fourth floor facing the back of the hotel, so it was quiet and had a lovely view of the rooftops of Zurich. Very easy walk to museums, restaurants, shops, etc. - Common areas: There was a lovely library and sitting room that were available to hotel guests, with free coffee and tea (and plenty of books), which were very comfortable, clean, and stylishly appointed. - Breakfast! So few hotels in Switzerland offer an included breakfast, and while not spectacular, this was a solid offering, with cold items (fruit cheese, cured meets, pastries, bread cereal) and a small selection of hot food (sausage, potatoes, eggs, mushrooms) -- plus coffee and juices. - Value: Considering all of the above, this hotel is a great deal! Cons: - The hotel is starting to show its age a bit: Doors and tiles are chipped, the metal railings are sometimes missing their endcaps...the sink in our bathroom had a broken stopper and someone had just wrapped rubber bands around it in order to keep it from staying down all the time. However, considering the quality of the staff and the price, easily overlooked!

The breakfast was great and the reception, lounge and corridors were lovely. Unfortunately the room let the hotel down. It was very large but there were stains on the sofa and side chair, black mould around the bathroom window and a bath with a pull across shower curtain which was grubby at the bottom where it sat in the bath. The woodwork round the door was also badly in need of redoing. The bathroom was tired and needed updating. The bath towels were also small and quite worn. The bed was good and the sheets clean though

The night we last stayed was not great. Noise from ajoinging room snoring, bathroom noises was not great. Also the portible AC is also very noisy. The earlier 2 nights spend 5 days prior were fine.

Very cozy boutique hotel with a beautiful library accessible to guests as well as a breakfast room with a really nice buffet- style breakfast that is included in the price -There are both hot and cold items (but there is also an option to order a la carte items such as pancakes and omelettes) The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well -situated in old town Zurich - surrounded by a plethora of restaurants and within walking distance to the train station

Close to many restaurants and shopping 10-15 minute walk to train station. Room was older but clean. The bar wasn’t open for us when we checked in and I was disappointed to be missing out on the free breakfast since I heard such good things about it but we had an early train ride out, the manager went out of his way to make us an early breakfast to go which was greatly appreciated.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The entire property was spotless, and you can tell the staff takes pride in keeping everything clean and well-maintained. The location couldn’t be better—close to key attractions, shops, and public transportation, which made getting around very easy and convenient. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations. With its combination of cleanliness, a prime location, and excellent staff, I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip!

Property was nice and staff very friendly. The downside is there are no AC but cooling units (awful!) and windows open up on to the terrace where everyone smoking - so you are in a smoke house, really! This is why I won’t recommend staying in this hotel!
