Very clean hotel in a great area of old town. Could walk to everything but streetcars were also only a few blocks away. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff were helpful. Would stay here again. Tony

I booked this based on positive review and I paid the price. The place is a dump. Smelly, no service at all and worst of all the curtains only covered half the window so it was bright like the day when the sun rose. I complained about the curtains at night and the front desk guy laughed and said nothing he could do. Good location but I characterize the place as a dump. Thank god it was only night or I would left and lost all the money to avoid this place. 520 bucks down the drain

This hotel is in one of Zurich's nicest areas, within easy walking distance to Lake Zürich, some fantastic restaurants and the shopping on the Bahnhofstrasse. The staff were outstanding, the room was surprisingly large for Zürich and spotlessly clean. We will go back when we are next in Zürich.

The breakfast was excellent and the staff constantly coming round attending to our needs. The location of hotel was excellent with 3 tram lines couple of minutes walk away. Close to the lake. FIFA Museum was a 10 minute walk The Bar Lounge was a good area to sit though the bar itself was never open/attended. We never asked about the hours of operation. The room overall was good except that the ducted air conditioner (a/c) was not working and was replaced with a room a/c with the outlet exiting via the window. It did the job though it was noisy even on lowest setting. Not a good look for a 4 star rated hotel, especially in Zurich The beds were 2 singles combined to make a queen size but were very hard. We felt they were uncomfortable. Felt the decor in room was dated. Wardrobe was bit clunky to open. Air Conditioner mentioed earlier. Coffee machine was fiddly.

The hotel towels in our room look worn and very thin. The bath towels are fairly small, about 2/3 the size of the regular towel size. Some of the towels are gray/off white instead of white. The AC unit blows air directly to the left side of the bed which made me sneeze badly. It also makes noises like dropping sand to metal, waking us up a couple of times during the night.
